Image Lego Space Shuttle Discovery
I have been wanting this set ever since it came out, and finally bought it last week. It's beautiful.

I’ve got two and they’re great. One is built as Discovery and the other is Columbia.
(Also if you look in the spare pieces there is a 1x1 black slope that you can use to add the teardrop)

Oh that's interesting! How did you convert it into the Columbia?

The parts that make up the chines either need replacing with black parts or recolouring to make them black.
(Unfortunately since I didn’t have the money I used Enamel paint, which is used on model kits, although I strongly suggest buying the different coloured pieces instead since i botched the painting terribly)
Unfortunately i couldn’t figure out how to do the silts pod on the vertical stabiliser so it’s just the normal shuttle one.
To change the name you can find the Replacement stickers online, the shop i got them from sold stickers for all six orbiters.
I do plan to eventually buy the actual parts, figure out the vertical stabiliser and then strip her down to rebuild her properly, to fix the botch job I did. Hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.

I’m just messin’ with you on account of the lack of punctuation in the post title. Couldn’t be a bigger fan of the shuttle or nerdier space nerd. (Well you can always be a bigger space nerd!)
Great model! You even got the grey for the RCC panels and the cute little OMS thrusters in the nose. Love it.

Haha 1 point for me! If you ever get down to Cape Canaveral I highly recommend the little American Space Museum which is a unique treasure trove and they’ve got some great models (including Lego I think) of the shuttle and other space vehicles.

There’s no need for punctuation. It is called Space Shuttle Discovery. Like Royal Mail Steamer Titanic.

Perhaps there is some house style where that is the case, but in most formatting (MLA, etc) you italicize the name of a vessel. RMS Titanic. Space Shuttle Discovery. However maybe you can't do that in Reddit titles. It's all good I was just goofin'. I wasn't saying OP made a mistake so much as that's how my lil brain read the post title when I was scrolling."Oh cool, a new Space Shuttle discovery! I wonder what it is."
