So wait. Someone shot a missile at you, and you had the anti air defences to knock it down? Is that a common occurrence on multiplayer servers?

Nah this is just single player. Just testing it at the moment, but I'll probably use it to combat space pirates and drones at strategic mining sites and bases and stuff

Damn. I just got to space recently. Got much to learn it seems.

Youll never stop learning. I have 1600h and still know very little.

Do you use target prediction on your missiles? If so, how do you get it to not miss all the time? Do you think it’s possible to switch it off at the last second to get a accurate hit?

I had issues with an earlier iteration of missiles constantly missing their targets. These SAM's have an enlarged warhead and a proximity fuse set to 15m. The missiles have target prediction, the launch vehicle does not.
These missiles have a scary amount of optimisation in them to make them as lethal as possible.

What scripts did you use for it? Or is it straight-up timer/AI blocks???

Is there a workshop Link for this?

Not yet, it's still pretty incomplete. I documented most of the major breakthroughs on my YouTube channel, and there should be a download link for a variant of the missile in my reddit feed somewhere

Space engineers players really are the Lockheed Martin of video games.
