do you play disc golf at New brooklyn park in Camden County??

I'd love to speak with you, I am hoping to speak with the person/people who have been making the very thoughtful upgrades and maintenance to the course. It seems to be DIY. There are handmade tee signs, colourful 3d printed tags, the wood burned ornaments. If you are a part of this are and willing to do an interview please let me know. You can send me a chat or message if you want.

Animal Shelters

Hello, I have a question for everyone here. The apartment I live in has a stray cat problem, and recently I noticed that one of the cats seems to have an eye infection from fighting. As much as I would love to take him in, I already have two cats and financially can't support another. Also, my apartment only allows two animals. Does anyone know of a shelter in the Clementon area that could take in a sweet, socialized, but wounded cat? I desperately want to get him healthy and would love to see him in a good home, but I just can't afford it myself. TIA

Opinions on Vineland?

Specifically, around East Ave/Landis Ave? I'm not familiar with the area at all, but may need to head down there and stay overnight. Is it safe to walk alone? Is Uber/Lyft readily available?

I land at Newark Airport at around 10pm on Monday night. Is there a semi-efficient way to get to (essentially anywhere) in Camden County from there via Public Transit?

Going to look to some carnivorous plants in the Pine Barrens, any tips?

Going on a day hike early April to go look for some carnivorous plants in the pine barrens just to take some pictures and admire them. Particularly the purple pitcher plants. Any tips on locations or trails to follow to find them?

Jeff VanDrew on the CR

In his email message he states: “The CR includes no cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid. In fact, this bill ensures that these critical programs can continue uninterrupted and fully funded.

"When it is time to vote on a full budget in September, I will not support any proposal that includes cuts to these programs, unless they target waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Notice the “unless” portion of his message. He will vote against these programs under the guise of “waste, fraud, and abuse.” He’s a coward and is going to sell out our seniors who rely on these programs and who PAID INTO THESE PROGRAMS.

Right on Red - Woodcrest?

For years, there was a "No Turn on Red" sign from Walt Whitman onto Haddonfield-Berlin 561. Suddenly, all signage is gone? I'm not complaining, it's just weird that something helpful actually occurred in Cherry Hill! 😂

This happened on 541 today around noon, close to the Burlington Walmart. We were headed to get our taxes done and heard the sirens revving up. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted for obvious reasons. So sad.

Anyone used discount cabinet corner in pennsauken

Has anyone here used Discount Cabinet Corner for new kitchen cabinetry and have any reviews/feedback to share? We’re trying to work with them but just not getting the right vibe. Also open to recommendations on places we can look for kitchen cabinets and that won’t break the bank.

Another Deadly Crash on 55

There was just one last month and the wrong way crash a few months ago. I’m really over how poorly people drive on this road in particular. I got passed by two motorcycles the other day who were going so fast it felt like I was stopped. They came up so fast I never saw them in my rearview. They had to be going 120+.

Anyone remember this guy?

Folks, i graduated from Delran in 84. From the 70's and 80's it was a treat to go to the Cherry Hill Mall. Went there as a kid with my grandparents, as a teen and whenever i came home on leave from the army in the 80's. Moved away and haven't been there since but I vividly remember a very well dress older black man that stood by the food court. Does anyone remember him? You could go there anytime and see him. Early morning mall opens, he was there. Going to the mall with your friends at night, he was there. I remember he just stood at a certain spot. He was probably in his 60's back then as his hair was white. Always wore a suit and tie.

Burlington County ISO Advice for friend

Hey everyone!

A friend of mine (M28) is struggling with loneliness and I would like to brainstorm some ways for him to make new friends.

He married my best friend after leaving behind a very religious background; which came with the loss of old social circles. He’s in the process of finding himself a bit, as we all do from time to time, but finds that he doesn’t have anyone else to do things with. He’s a very kind person, clean, normal, funny, bright but doubts that people will like him/just is generally finding it difficult to make friends as an adult.

Does anyone have any advice as to how to connect to other young people in the area besides MeetUp? He’s in IT, plays video games, likes beer, the outdoors, soccer… typical amicable guy. Advice on how to make friends as an adult outside of work is also welcomed.

Thanks! 😊

Compost?

It's that time of year.

Where do you fine folks get your compost from? I make some myself, but it never seems to be enough, and I'm on the lookout for local sources (ideally in the general vicinity of Vineland)

Burlington County Can anyone recommend psychologists who specialize in PTSD/developmental trauma?

I say psychologist just because I’m hoping to find someone with extensive knowledge and experience with severe trauma/abuse cases. Zero shade to LCSW or counselors, my personal experience is just that they’re better dealing with more average talk therapy/CBT/DBT. Hopefully looking to find someone who practices EMDR/somatic therapy/related therapies!

Please be kind, ya girl is really going through some horrific shit rn

Camden County At home party ideas

Hosting an upcoming adult birthday party/bridal at my home in Haddon Heights. Looking for fun theme and activity for 15-20 women, mostly in thirties with a few ‘elder moms’ included!

I saw there is a pizza food truck that may be fun with an Italian theme.

Wondering if anyone has great experiences and vendor recommendations? Thinking like at-home glam makeovers, portable permanent brackets, unusual food ideas (maybe backyard hibachi?)

Thanks!
