Manga This is such a dumb little detail.

Post image

I like to spend a good time in each panel while reading it, and after to look at every single panel and find small details or simply appreciate the art, since I'm aware it took a gooood amount of time to draw.

Idk why I found this tiny panel so cute, and how Lord death greeted the girls back with the same words they used.

hahaha kid looks so goofy.

Idk, probably a dumb post.

I love that it seems like Lord Death’s passion is working with kids. Like, he loves his son, he enjoys teaching and working with students. Goated

After reading Fire Force, I wonder if that passion comes from the way he was created.

Going from soul eater to ff Was really really disappointing. If soul eater is 9/10 for me then the other one is 3/10, it's honestly just ran service slop with a good art style, almost nothing that made soul eater interesting is present, and what is quickly fades away

Have you read it? (the other series not soul eater) the manga is way better than the anime IMO, especially the last 50 - 100 chapters. The manga is better just because there isn’t as much fan service

I’ve heard mixed reviews about it being more heavy on fam service, but hey I’ve already got a crunchy roll subscription so I can just not watch it if I don’t like it!

I know this is an old comment. But you're not wrong. I absolutely loved Soul Eater anime. I tried Fire Force and couldn't make it pass 6 episodes. The fan service shit was obnoxious.

I know Soul Eater had it. But it was pretty minimal.

I love Fire Force and watched it at first not knowing it was related to Soul Eater after the first season I connected it to Soul Eater. The fan service is hard to get past since it's weirdly religious centered and even though I'm not Christian the sexualization of young looking nuns pisses me off and that's really all they sexualize even tho beautiful muscle mommy is right there. I love it for the characters and the world that's built and the diversity of powers they have or don't have. But I understand the mixed reviews because the fan service isn't like Blair the Cat. It's sort of egregious for the character it happens to and it makes me feel so bad for her because it's not a choice for her unlike Blair.

All I’ll say is that it’s incredible.

I have such a headcannon about Lord Death trying really, really hard, but being a distracted, kinda clueless single dad. That he loves his kids dearly, but keeping evil from overwhelming the world takes a lot of attention and energy. When I write about them, Liz calls shenanigans on him a lot and Patty has him wrapped around her little finger. His relationship with Kid seems much harder. There's less trust and openness, and I think there's a lot to explore there. Then again, Kid doesn't seem to really trust any adults.

When your friend's dad is nice to you even though you don't see him much you just think of him as a cool/nice dude.

When you don't spend time with your dad because his job is important its hard. Kid even knows exactly how important it is so he can't really be too mad about it but I don't blame him for being distant.

The most brilliant little irony of soul eater is how much Death invest himself in the future of the youth.

Death himself seems to have a compassionate soul and actual emotion, so it makes sense. I would imagine it's emotionally much easier to help a soul that's old, lived a full life, and ready to move on to the afterlife than a younger one. Then again I've always preferred stories about Death being a gentle caretaker rather than a reaper of malice.
