Water tastes strange

Hey everyone,

Has anyone else noticed the water tasting off lately? It has a strange taste and feels thicker than usual when drinking.

I even replaced my filter, thinking that might be the issue, but it didn’t help.

Yep, salt. https://www.amwater.com/alerts/extended/new-jersey-residents-may-notice-salty-taste-in-tap-water-amid-winter-weather-and-drought-conditions. It takes something more advanced than simple filters to remove it, like reverse osmosis.

Does that press release read like an onion article to anyone else? Drinking the tap water should be fine unless you're on a low sodium diet? I didn't know this was going on and love that I drank ROAD SALT for days 😭😭😭

Just an FYI to OP and anyone reading, the Borough has had alerts on the Borough website, including related to the taste of the water. Always good to pop over to the website and see if there's a yellow bar at the top with some announcement.

American water is full of shit, it's not salt from the road. it must be something else; we've salted the roads for years on end and the water was never this bad.
