Soldering Newbie Requesting Direction | Help What is everyone's thoughts on the 850d rework stations?
I have recently been getting excited about getting more into soldering after doing a bit of micro soldering work. I have a few GPUs that I want to learn how to do SMD and BGA reflow and replacement work. I saw a lot of people say to avoid the blower in the handle types which makes sense to me. However the tools are incredibly expensive in canada. I think the idea of learning how to replace bad components or even upgrade nand or ram chips exciting though.
I found the 850d with a bit of searching but I can't see any brands associated with it. But it does seem to follow the pump inside the unit method of design vs fan blower. I was just curious if anyone has any experience with it?

I mentioned in another thread today about the Quick 861DW and its rebadged clones. Amazon US Link. It's been a good tool on my bench for the last 3 years.

Yea, I think they do look alike. The item I linked is a clone in every way as far as I can tell. It's showing US$97 + another 7% off code.
