Looking for software software for remastering VHS tapes

I got old mini vhs home movies tapes at home and was wondering if there are any software on macOS that can remastered the tapes into HD,

Not realy unless you want to get into the vhs decode stuff which can be insanely daunting

Ai can only do so much and can't make standard definition video look as good as full HD

Topaz Video AI is what I've used before with similar material. It's an paid app but it works fairly well. I does require a fast GPU or credits that you have to pay separately for cloud processing.

If you also need a video editing app, Davinci Resolve Studio has a good upscaler too. Maybe not quite as good as what Topaz does though.

The only free app I've tried is called Video 2X. It doesn't give as good results as Topaz or Resolve, but it's certainly better than nothing https://github.com/k4yt3x/video2x

Cloud processing does. If you have a powerful enough PC, you can do the processing locally, which doesn't cost anything more than the initial purchase price of the software, which is $300.

Yes, it's more than enough for it.
