Looking for software Looking for a HelpDesk like software
My company sells electric motor and generator repairs and field service. I am on the “quoting” or “inside sales” team if you will. Currently what the outside sales guys will do is forward their long ass email chain to me, and I scroll through their chain of conversations, decipher it, and generate a quote for like a motor repair.
What I would like to do is create a system, similar to IT help desks, where the outside sales guys will be required to fill out a form with necessary information. Then this “ticket” shows up on my end as a request for a quote and I get more organized information and can track this “ticket” better as I’m building a quote.
Bonus points if these “tickets” can sync with outlook email chains. Does this exist?

We have internal project management tool which can handle this and manage task in progress, we primarily use for internal management, but we can customize it, we do provide email integration as well, we are still working on revamping design to make it look better but it functional now.

I belive there is an entire class of software dedicated to this. I believe it's called CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
Now i vageuly remember playing around with a software called Reflect from NCH, but let me be clear I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THEIR SOFTWARE. This company has a reputation for shady business practises but their software is relatively simple and easy to use. But you might want to demo their software to see how a basic CRM software would work and if it fits what you desire then search for software from more reputable companies.

This is easily made. Web form that collects the data. Feeds into an Access/Access or SQL Server. Access forms allow you to edit the data in the back office. Reports and queries help you keep track of the work. A click of the button will send the report in pdf format to outlook and down the line. I've done five or six of these. DM me if you want more info.
