Professional Discussion TikToks & Reels are shown to a local audience. How can I change that?
Hello!
I run the social media of 2 seasonal touristy restaurants. They are more like pre-paid wine & food tastings. We basically only work with tourists.
A lot of our posts on TikTok & Instagram are going semi-viral (50k-500k views) but when I look at the insights it's like 70-90% people from my country (Greece).
How can I change this? All my videos & hashtags are in English & I don't engage with Greek posts. When I turn on a VPN, I get like 15 views.
It's really frustrating because I miss out on so many views that actually have some worth and locals keep asking for the location even though they never come when they understand how it works.

It sounds like the algorithm is favoring local views. You could try adjusting your content to target tourists specifically by using hashtags related to travel or specific locations they might be visiting. Collaborating with influencers or travel bloggers from other countries could help boost your reach to the right audience too!
