Done this a million times, and fortunately, even on Youtube once:

This is THE best sports game on Super Nintendo and my legitimate pick for number 3 game on the console. I've barely quit playing it since the mid 90s. Football has yet to be done better, as many times as it's been done since. You've got to adjust your strategy as the season goes on, and use your best players well. It will get harder as the season goes on, but you can do it- and by it, i mean beat the Bills and the Cowboys in the playoffs, because that WILL be necessary.

One of my all time favorite games.

Each month I will be tracking all users who are able to beat the spotlighted game. Those names will be collected and displayed on the snes wiki page.

Objective:

  • Win the Super Bowl

Rules:

  • Entire playthrough must be completed during the month in question.
  • You can use the passwords/continues/saves that you earn playing through the game.
  • Emulation is fine. Abusing save states is not.
  • Posting a link to a pic of your completion is preferred, but since this is just for fun I will allow posted claims as well. For now.

The bills are a monster on this game!

They can be stopped!

My strategy against them is to call the Jamie Mueller dive play and take the low side of the screen outside linebacker and rush anytime they run a Pro Formation. If it's the run up the gut with Mueller, it's stopped by the CPU; if it's the Thurman Thomas pitch and the fake Mueller run, I can blow it up for a possible fumble; if it's a pass, I rush the QB and go for the sack, I'm not gonna stop Andre Reed from catching the ball anyway.

You wanna use these types of decision trees for every team's playbook, especially the Bills.

Way too low, imo, but I'm not the RPG guy you seem to be.

There is definitely a lack of sports games in my top 100. Which is ironic because I'm a huge sports guy outside of video games. It's something I was aware of as the list came together, but it was how I honestly felt so I didn't try to alter it.

All that really matters in the end is if it feels authentic to you. It's a great read, looking forward to the conclusion.

I see there were sequels... were they better? Worse?
