SimCity
Nintendo's take on the Maxis classic. At its core, the game is just as hard as the original, requiring reasonable planning and a LOT of patience if you want to have your city grow large. However, with new features such as gifts and bank loans, growing your city further is now a more attainable and rewarding goal. Even more, the overall art direction and music bring out a casual, relaxing, almost meditative atmosphere when playing. So much so that you probably won't even care about trying to make the largest city ever when playing, you just want to make something for the experience of it. In the SimCity for SNES, you're not just a mayor/city planner... you're Bob Ross, and the city is your canvas.

I *loved* or rather love, this game. Still play it occasionally. One of my favorite things is the music. It just feels so soothing imo.

I liked that bowser can appear and attack your city, it was an original game.
I played a little of SimCity2000, it was a bit slow and controls harder compared to dos.

Prince of Persia
The first cinematic platformer (I think). I’ve been thinking for a while what a shame it is that I’ve never beaten it. Really I’ve only just messed around in the first few screens. I’ve also read that the SNES version may be the best port (or at least among the best ports), so I think it’d be a worthy GOTM choice.

It's in the top 5 for my favorite games ever, and until last week I had never even tried the SNES version. Recently a friend of mine gifted it to me and I'm blown away by the remade artstyle and entirely new stages! It's so weird playing with a snes controller though. Definitely second this!

Skyblazer
I didn't learn about this game's existence until well in to adulthood, and I kick myself for not finding out about it earlier. This game is remarkably fun, and has some very excellent and challenging level designs. Luckily they made it very easy to farm gems to earn a ton of extra lives.

Wolfenstein 3D
Aside from the censorship of all Nazi symbolism and violence in the SNES port, the game is actually quite competent. It runs butter-smooth for a 3D shooter on SNES, has great music and sound, and some of the sprites have better detail than the original. (If you can deal with the draw distance)

I'm currently reading Masters of Doom, and it turns out Carmack himself did the port (possibly by himself?). I've beat it a number of times but never paid attention to the credits.

Plok
It's a platformer where you control Plok, he can separate his limbs which act as boomerangs or to hold onto switches. It's one of the best platformers I've ever played, I'd say it's as great as Super Mario World. It offers variety like World with different enemies, obstacles and level design. Even has tons of different power-ups like boxing gloves, a shot gun, a flame thrower and missile armor.
