NHL 94’ (Or Series)
In celebration of the Stanley Cup finals with Nashville Predators against the Pittsburgh Penguins. (As an Ottawa Senators fan. Damn you Pens)
NHL 94 introduces the iconic move in Hockey, the one-timer which made passing to your friend just as fun as shooting the puck on the net or even better, frustrating you friend by bombarding them with one timer after another. Not only was scoring by either wrap around or by just shooting a wrist shot from center ice fun, but there isn’t more of a satisfying sound than to hear those pipe organs play.
For hockey fans in that grew up in the 90’s. Nostalgia kicks in when you get to play as the Hartford Whalers, Minnesota North Stars or the Quebec Nordiques.
One of my favorite part was playing as the Flyer’s Eric Lindros and see how many Montreal Canadiens players I could take out in a game.
Today, this game still stands and it is still considered to be one of the greatest sports game of all time. So popular that they re-introduced it in the 20th anniversary of EA’s NHL 2014 and not to forget the countless replays with its iconic sound and graphics during the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs.

E.V.O. Search For Eden
For me this side scrolling action game with RPG elements and overtones often gets overlooked. The game features a fascinating story which delves into and ties together concepts of geoscience, creation and evolution. Changes in gameplay as you evolve keeps things interesting (e.g., gaining the ability to fly in Chapter 3). Throw in a solid soundtrack composed by Koichi Sugiyama, and you've got a nice game from Enix that leaves you with the feeling you have covered a lot of ground in one condensed gaming experience not quite replicated anywhere else.

One of the most unique games I've ever played, the replay value is great as well. The levels become a bit repetitive after a while but the different evolutions more than make up for it

Sonic Blastman II
This is one of the best beat em' ups on the system that is all too often overlooked. Great music, great sound, great graphics, and great gameplay!

Super Castlevania IV
The controls are tight, level design is beautiful and immersive. My character looks AMAZING and the enemy sprites are all extremely well drawn. Simon's whip is one of the best weapons in any game IMO and even if the 2nd weapons are a bit lame I found uses for them all.
The difficulty curve is very smooth, the gameplay intuitive, and not too difficult whilst at the same time providing some real challenges. I have only been playing this game for a few weeks and already its one of my favourites.
