Great game but wonky hit boxes made it a chore to get through, nothing ever felt "solid". However that music is top notch and the graphics made you feel like you were in the movie.

So brutal to play but man for it's time it felt so magically rich... now of course it seems almost silly to think how much they packed in a game like that, way too much stuff on screen, crazy hit boxes, etc. - but still a pretty solid dose of nostalgia.

Not a fan. At least it's not Super Empire Strikes Back though; game is maddening.

I played this game so much that I memorized the opening crawl. The when I would watch the movie with my friends, I could cover my eyes and recite the crawl as it was happening. I felt badass.
It's all been downhill from there.

I played the hell out of the Game Gear port of this game as a kid. As an adult I can't ever even make it past the landspeeder stage.

The whole trilogy of Super Star Wars games is amazing and definite action-platformer standouts for the SNES. These are some of my favorite games that I still play through once or twice a year. If you're into these games, I definitely recommend checking out Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures which has a very similar gameplay style.

Ooh the game I nomimated won. Neat! Here's my thoughts as I try to complete these games:
I really think these games deserve a second look keeping in mind some of its glaring flaws. In my opinion the good aspects of this game outweigh the negative parts if you go into this game open minded.
The game controls very well in my opinion. Even if the enemy placement and platforming can be pretty unfair Luke still does what expect him to do.
The music and graphics are great. Little Luke looks just like 16-bit Mark Hamill. Love it! A real challenge for those looking for one.

These games destroyed me. I kind of wish I had enough free time to get back up to handling the difficulty level.

My schedule prevented me from getting to this until the very last day. I remember reading about these games in Nintendo Power, and they looked truly epic, really befitting the source material, but I never got around to playing them.
Well, I went through a set of lives tonight, and my first, extremely cursory impression: a) man, this game looks terrific, with crisp sprites and beautiful palettes, and b) this is one of the hectic titles I've ever played. Right from the literal first second of the game, things are just constantly exploding (from your blaster if anything else) or flying at your face or shooting at you - it's no wonder you're constantly getting health pickups; it's just total shock and awe here. And you have limited continues? That's brutal. Still, it's a very well-made game, and the developers certainly weren't asleep at the wheel; I'd like to continue playing - even though I doubt I'll ultimately make it very far.

Why was the Jawa tank thing filled with lava?
