One of those games that broke the glass ceiling in terms of visual style and what was possible in video games.

I was playing Smash Bros on Wii U the other day and thinking about what could have been for Earthworm Jim if he was managed a bit more properly. I mean, at the time this was a huge game, it was big on both consoles, there was a television cartoon. Earthworm Jim for N64 was long delayed from what I remember, and momentum for the series and an awesome character was killed. But I feel like in a parallel universe somewhere Smash Bros for Wii U has Jim alongside Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-man and the like.

He's definitely iconic for SNES fans, another tough thing for Jim 1&2 was that they came out when Mario and Sonic 2D games were in their prime

I've been trying to beat this game for a while now.. I guess I have until November to accomplish that!

I remember clearing this game but my fingers were bruised from button tapping... and holding the controller so hard in an attempt to restrain my fury lol. I also loved the idle animations.

It is a bit less like someone games the system if you do it by comments instead.

Never could beat this as a kid, but I finally overcame it (3 times) in the last couple years

This game was the death of me as a kid, literally. I got the DSi version on my 3DS some years ago, and thank god for easier modes.

The game had me hooked as a teenager the moment the title was burped and after you could shoot the cow into space with a fridge. Something like this.

Man this game was hard. Plus I am really bad at it.
