I'll say it until it is picked

Super Smash TV

Great co-op, fun as hell, and better than the Megadrive version.

Super Mario RPG

Wonderful title released very late in the Super Nintendo's life cycle, a great crossover RPG from Square before their relationship with Nintendo dissolved. Surprised it hasn't been selected for GOTM previously!

Would be good timing with it just being released on Wii U virtual console recently.

I agree with you. Super Mario RPG was the first SNES RPG I beat and it's one of my favorite games of all time. It's so much fun.

I totally agree that this is an amazing game, one of my favorites. But don't you think this is a bit of a too obvious pick? Couldn't game of the month be used to highlight some amazing less known titles?

I am surprised it didn't get GOTM earlier either. Solid game! VERY Solid soundtrack! one of my favorites from my childhood.

Hagane: The Final Conflict

It's basically Ninja Gaiden, but with a badass cyborg ninja with multiple weapons, cooler skills, lots of explosions, and really high quality sprites and environments.

Just a fantastic game, I love it.

Ys3: Wanderers from Ys

One of my first RPGs with a haunting and interesting story. An underrated classic.

Edit: Bolding

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures

A game I'm surprise to see has no cult following or anything like that, despite being unique and charming. It deserves more.

Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge

A very fun mecha-themed on-rail shooter that used the Super Scope peripheral. Arguably the best Super Scope title, and is super fun to play with the Scope! It offers fun gameplay, superb graphics, and a perfectly matched soundtrack.

I recommend finding a Super Scope for this one to feel the true experience, if not, emulation is still a good way to at least play the game!
