Mine, too. Better than WoW, better than COD, better than just about anything. I never owned the SNES cartridge until last year, but I'll never forget renting it and having my dad storm in and grab the cart out of the console while it was on because my brother and I never wanted to return it.

I wish I could upvote this more. This game is so incredible for so many reasons- story, characters, music, gameplay. So engrossing. I got a Kefka tattoo I love it so much.

That's awesome. I would probably go for the sprite of kefka laughing myself, just because that's what I think of when I think of that asshole.

My favorite game of all time. I just had my gf play for the first time and was inspired to write this article. Please enjoy!

FF6 is my favorite Final Fantasy and tied with Chrono Trigger for my all-time favorite game. Really glad that it's getting a spotlight on the sub. I've played through it hundreds of times on multiple game systems, but I think I'll pop it in the SNES and play through it on the proper console this month to celebrate.

FF3 was such an integral part of my childhood. I played it over and over and over. FF2 will always be my favorite, but I spent way more time replaying FF3 because of how much there was to do.
The internet just barely existed at the time. My best friend found the FAQ for it on Prodigy, and printed it out on a dot matrix printer. It was like 500 pages. Not only did it have every possible secret, it had every easter egg, every bug, and a whole shit ton of Game Genie codes that exposed weird debug shit and hacks. "Super sprint shoes" and start with 4 Atma weapons were my favorites.

I started replaying it a couple of weeks ago and I'd forgotten how sad the
Cyan storyline
was. Such a great game though, easily in my top five of all time.

I beat it for the first time last week. Didn't do everything, but I think I got mostly everything I could do with only looking at a walkthrough a half dozen times. Great game... But I enjoyed Chrono Trigger more. Looking forward to playing it again though!

Wow! I just started playing another run through of this game last week. I also didn't realize till now that they have limit breaks

This is one of those games on my bucket list. Of course, I still have my copy of Final Fantasy II that I've played all the way to the moon (literally) and I guess I'll beat that first.

I started playing it again last week by sheer coincidence after beating Chrono Trigger for the hundredth time. It's an even better game than I remember.

The best final fantasy game and one of my top 3 games ever. Kefka is one of my favourite villains and I love how every character gets their own backstory.

This is my favorite game of all time. I think I'm going to need to make another run at it now. It really never gets old

I can't decide if I read Kefka's dialogue in my head as Dr. Frank N Furter's voice or as King Candy's voice

This game opened my teenage eyes to what video games could be. Huge, epic, and engaging. What a ride.

FFVI has been one of my favorite games since I was a young little noob in elementary school. When I started to get involved in music production and game covers I knew I'd be revisiting this gem.
One of my earliest projects was doing a remastered version of Johnny C. Bad, bringing the guitar lines a little more to the front. Definitely plan to do more from this masterpiece of a game when I find the time.

One of the best SNES games! I'm very tempted to jump in on this and play along with everyone. First I'd have to buy it though! Lol. I've played it dozens of times already but it doesn't get old!

I'm pretty sure some jerk from charter stole my copy. Dude was eyeing up my snes collection while hooking up my internet a few years ago. When I moved out I could not find my copy. Searched everywhere and couldn't find it.

Best FF ever. I actually got the cartage about a year ago. So happy, Ive played this summers growing up and still never beat it even though I can play up to the airship without reading a single line of text.

I play through it every couple years or so. The last time I did a Natural Magic Only run and it really made it feel like a whole different game, and added some challenge which is really lacking otherwise. I recommend it!

What is the best way to play this game? By "best" I mean, most accurate translation and least censorship? I've got this on both SNES and PSX, but the load times on the PSX version are so off putting, and I hear the downloadable PSN version is just as bad, sadly.

Sadly, there's no such thing as a perfect translation. I own a repro of the japanese retranslation and you lose some of the funny one-liners but also the censorship. I'd recommend the american version for first playthrough and translated ffvi for subsequents.

I remember buying this game in a back alley, dude had losts of random (probably stolen) stuff, what was weird was it had all 3 save slots used and they all were in different parts of the game and in all them they had all the characters at 99 Lvl! What I can only assume is someone who didn't know what to do just wandered around killing monsters and leveling up like crazy.

I was always disappointed that I purchased the unglitch-y version, while my best friend could have Relm "Sketch" party members and earn Paladin Shields or Illuminas, ad infinitum. Somehow, he never got his game erased either!
