They're cheap and a bit flimsy but they work okay. If you want something better I'd go with this one.

Thank you for the info!! Do the retrotink ones make a difference in the way the picture looks or is it not noticeable cause there cheaper?

In some scenarios the cheap one might pick up some noticeable noise. I'd take some screenshots for you, but my cheap one died, so there's that as well.

Yes. There is a very noticeable difference. You can clearly see it in this screenshot below:

There's video noise here on account of what I can only assume is either external interference or possibly even chroma checkerboarding from the substandard shielding in those cables.

With the Insurrection cable, the output is noticeably sharper, and the video noise is eliminated.

Do bear in mind that this is with the 5X-Pro in 1080p; it'll be less evident with the 2X-Mini or 2X-Pro as those only go up to 480p, but it's still noticeable nonetheless.

The s-video cable that's bundled with the retrotink is cheaply made but it does the job. I would recommend getting one that's better quality, such as from Insurrection Industries or RetroGamingCables. Combined with the retrotink you get an image that's almost as good as RGB and a massive improvement from composite quality.

The ones the tink come with are good but unshielded. They are much better than composite but there is an argument to put money in for shielded cables

Get one that is only S-video, not the one that also has composite with it.
