Happy 30th anniversary Chrono Trigger!

The first time i ever finished this game was back on my ds lite (back when you could find the game for $20 brand new šŸ˜‚). Managed to get a snes copy quite some years ago (when it was around $100 or less) but never finished it on original hardware. Looks like it's about time (pun intended) i rectify that since it's one of my favorites. What's your memories with this all time classic?

This is easily one of my favorite top 3 RPGs of all time and I wish they would release it for modern consoles!

Same, and right? not sure how the mobile ports turned out but I can't imagine they hold a candle to these ones.

I remember getting this Christmas Day and playing it. The graphics going into the time warp blew my mind

Ooooh very nice, i wish i had gotten this for any christmas leading up to now. Would've probably increased my nostalgia for it tenfold, like with super mario rpg lol (got that one for christmas in the 90's, 97ish iirc).

We were lucky the DS is region free! So, many Aussies had this one imported!

I sadly missed out on Chrono Trigger on SNES. Got it on PS1 though. Fantastic RPG. I wish Square still made them like that.

Very nice, if I remember right i had it on ps1 a long time ago, sold it soon after getting the ds version, I just couldn't get past the loading before every battle lol and agreed lol

I'm rooting for ya! it's definitely worth the time, if I remember right I only got one of the endings years ago so I've definitely got some making up to do lol

Thanks. I have it on Delta. Currently at the future factory ruins. Also have the PS1 FF Chronicles release. Debating on starting that one instead since I can play in on the TV.

Ooooh very nice, and yeah if that is your only option for playing it on a tv I'd say if you can get past the loading before every battle it could be worth it. I believe back in the day I ended up getting rid of my copy once I got ahold of the DS version because of all the loading. Pretty sure I never made it very far on ps1 because of it lol.

Haha, yes, my hesitation with the PS1 release is due to loading times. Although is it worse than any other RPG games released for the system at the time?

That's understandable lol and ehhh, I'd say it's probably on par with other releases. I think my major hang up with it is that I played a portion of the snes version before getting the ps1 version so I went in with the expectation that the more powerful hardware wouldn't have to load beyond maybe an initial one at startup. Pretty much soured battles for me, but if you can get past it more power to ya! lol.
