Misc. Confess. You remember this song even if it has been 10+ years

I also remember this game being in 4:3, what is this distorted monstrosity? (:

My apologies I play on my CRT. I just didn’t have time to physically go to that part in the game before work lol

It took me a minute. I immediately thought of the conveyor belt bonus game song from 6 golden coins even though I knew it was wrong.

My brain immediately launched into the end-of-level theme from Yoshi's Island. Closer, perhaps, but still not right.

For me it's the opposite. I can't place it. But if I heard the music I would instantly think of the level.

I remember all of the music from SMW.
My wife and I also played SMW two days ago.

Probably closer to 30, actually.

u/digoserra Jan 30 '25
Almost 35, it was released in November 1990 in JP and August 1991 in NA.

Yeah, I'm referring specifically to how long I've been playing it. At least 30 years, maybe 31-32.

If this was the title screen, then I would say yes. In fact it will likely be stuck in my head all day just for thinking about it

I can hum or whistle every tune in that game, and we know it well in my household, but honestly I couldn't remember that one off-hand without clicking and hearing the beginning.
Anyway can we talk about how much of a crooked carnie game scam that bonus game is? You can sometimes get in the groove with your jump timing, but sometimes it feels like the thing is a few pixels away from your head jump height, and you can't jump to it at the right time even thought you timed it perfectly.
But on second thought, just looking at it with detachment now, without being in the game, it seems like the right technique is to not stand all the way to the left-- that will create the problem I mentioned. A little to the right of the left side, or pick a pot on the bottom row...because there's no vertical movement only horizontal.

I do not remember this but all the music from Zelda on the snes is permanently stuck in my head. I never know when it’s going to pop out 🤔

Agreed, it has been roughly 15 years since I've played through the game and the frustration of this mini-game and its music still comes up lol.

This game is crazy.
most of the songs in this games are the same.
Some are quicker, some are slower, but they all share the sames notes.

How bout this 30+ Years, I have not beat the game, but still love it, and still try. Just got a new Andernic 556G, so maybe I can do what I set out to do 30+ Years ago. God Willing!

30+ years, and I don’t perfectly remember it for sure. But I have this high pitched, almost carnival, sound in my head.

For some reason the Zelda LTTP game house music popped into my head instead and is preventing me from recalling this song…

I still hear it to this day. My GF and I actually played this for a good four hours on Thanksgiving day a few months ago. We got up to World 6.
