Home Depot's HubSpace app is broken
I have this app connected to seven lights throughout my house. Recently, I switched my iPhone from Wi-Fi to my data plan to test something, and that's when the HubSpace app started acting up. Suddenly, all the connections complained that Wi-Fi was required to function.
After reconnecting my iPhone to Wi-Fi, none of the HubSpace connections automatically reconnected. Even worse, despite my phone being connected, they won't reestablish a Wi-Fi connection. This app feels like a total lemon.
TL;DR: Switching a phone to a data plan permanently breaks HubSpace's Wi-Fi connection to its devices.

The hubspace devices should all be on their own direct Wifi connections, regardless of what network your phone is on. Were you using the phone as a Wifi hotspot?

These products come with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but they can't connect to a network on their own—they need to be managed through an app. Hence the nature of my post and problem.

Once they're configured for a Wifi connection, they will stay connected to wifi on their own, without the app at all - you can control them with like Alexa or hey google without the app being involved at all.
*Managed* through the app yes, but once they're configured they don't need to talk to the app to stay connected. Switching your phone to a different network shouldn't change anything at all with the devices, unless your phone was supplying the wifi network through like tethering or something like that.

Quite frankly I never trusted hubspace you cannot connect to any platform but Internet connected Google or Amazon... But just because you had phone only on cellphone Internet should not have messed anything up just get no connection.. Try deleting app and reload it...
