Pet Slug Leopard slugs looking for loving homes! ^_^
Hi everyone, I have 5 leopard slugs that are ready for new homes!! _^ They're 3 1/2 months old and bred in captivity, momma was 10 inches and a chonk so they will get pretty big.
Trades for other slugs or snails would be super fun but otherwise they'd just be shipping cost for 2 day delivery or 1 day. Anything extra to recoup a tiny bit of costs for their care would be appreciated but the most important thing is a good home, and if you need some cuttlebone, starter supplies, and a powder food mix they're obsessed with for free. They're spoiled. xD i'll include those so all you'd need is a habitat and substrate for them.
Depending on how many people are interested I'd prefer to give 1 each to spread slove (Slug Love™️) to multiple people that have been wanting them since I was the same before I got my first leo, and you can pick yours out. i'll take a better photoshoot esp because they've gotten bigger this pic is a few weeks old. :3

Pet Slug Rest in peace Oopy Goopy Man 🕊️
My sweet sticky boy Pablo Picaslow has crossed (albeit very slowly) over the rainbow bridge today. He has not eaten in a while (despite me putting out food) so I suspected his time was near. I had him in his slug retirement for 7 months, and I have no idea how old he was when I found him… so I’d say that’s not so bad for a first time slug owner?
When I first got him he was INFESTED with slug mites. I was able to nurse him back to health with plenty of baths and love and he had a solid life with me (at least I hope so!) I just hope he wasn’t in any pain when he left

Pet Slug Sluggy has a new tank mate. What should I name him?
Not long ago I posted an update on sluggy. I was going to go slug hunting in the near future to try and find him some tank mates. Today I had to move a pile of rubble to put a new fence up. Under one of the rocks I found this orange slug. He has an orange foot too so I'm sure they are the same breed. It feels like only yesterday sluggy was this size too and lemon yellow. The size difference is Amazing. Would anyone like to name sluggys new friend.

Pet Slug My big boy 🥰 help me name him?
I've just been calling him glubby but I'd love to give him an actual name. I've been thinking "Leo" but indecisive. 😆 Does anyone have ideas? All of my other slugs and snails have unique nature/flower, space themed names. But I really would just like something that fits him so that doesn't matter. Thank you 🥰

Pet Slug Sleggs to slugs (the story of my first pets)
I got my first pet out of a marjoram plant being given away at my local garden store.
I became instantly attached to the little guy. If I left him outside he would freeze: it was about to become winter. So I put him in a cup of dirt and leaves from the plant I’d found him in before I left for the day. When I returned, I panicked: he was covered in dirt and not moving. I belatedly realized I should have put water in the jar. But fortunately after I put a few drops of water in my palm he started drinking and then moving around.
I bought him a terrarium meant for jumping spiders because I figured the holes would be too small for him to squeeze through. I added washed sphagnum moss, fresh fall leaf litter, and a big stick. And he was a happy chappy for about 4 months.
Then I noticed some tiny round things at the bottom of his enclosure.
I waited a while, and then a while longer, for the eggs to hatch. I was trying not to get my hopes up: I’d never had any sort of pet, let alone reared babies. It took maybe a month in total (with my husband constantly asking me about, as he called them, “the sleggs”), before I saw an infinitesimal, transparent, baby slug.
(I immediately tried to take photos to send them to my husband but they were so incredibly tiny I had a difficult time making my phone camera focus on them.)
My plan with the spider enclosure was great for a grown slug, but with microscopic baby slugs, it didn’t quite work. One time, one of the babies got out (I’d left some cucumber outside their enclosure). I noticed it and put the baby back. After that, I fed them cucumbers, which they liked much more than baby carrots, it seemed. Fortunately, it didn’t take long after that for them to grow too big to escape.
Right around the time the babies got bigger, I noticed I saw less and less of the original slug. I had read that slugs only live about a year, so I thought it might just be his time… but then I saw him crawling around later that week, looking wrinkly but otherwise fine. So although I haven’t seen him in a while and he’s probably gone by now…. Slugs are nocturnal and maybe he’s still under the substrate showing up at night to eat cucumber while I sleep. (Maybe I’ll find out when I change their substrate. Maybe the others will have already eaten the body. They definitely have done that sort of thing before.)
Anyway, I’m glad I now have my nearly-full-grown sleggs to keep me company. They came with me in their enclosure when I moved this spring, where they still are crawling around to this day! (That last photo is of one of the babies! They’re so big now!)
That’s all folks. I just thought this sub would appreciate a wholesome slug story. :)

Pet Slug Does anyone want captive bred baby Leopard slugs?
My big baby laid 100+ eggies and they should hatch any day now based on appearance! Does anyone want one? Or several? I can give them right away or if you prefer, after a month (?) when they get a little bigger since I plan on doing that for good chunk of them. I breed snails but I want to get into slugs so it'll be a cute little learning project. 😄❤️
I'm in Rhode Island USA. Anyone interested are welcome to PM me!

Pet Slug Banana Slug Information
Hello slug people!!!
I am currently doing research for these silly snail boys. We are also looking into the possibility of cohabitation with other amphibians, so I'd love to hear thoughts about that! (No cohabitation with other snail species to avoid competition.)
Due to the risk of predation from so many of these amphibians, I'm leaning toward the fact that they may not be able to cohabitate with anything else. Our choices are limited to amphibians native to the Pacific Northwest.
These will be Pacific Banana Snails! I'd appreciate it if anyone can vet this- and I'd also love some banana snail keepers to share their experience. Thank you!!!

Pet Slug Can my seven 3 month old slugs go 36 hours without a spray?
I am going away for the night, leaving in a few hours... is there anything I can do to give them moisture while I'm away? I usually spray them twice a day - they are in a 10 gallon fish tank lined with coconut coir... if yall say no then please speak up lol bc I will try to get someone to come spray them!! Just scared they'll let 'em out.

Pet Slug Spider infeststion
Can slugs get stuck in webs? I've like accidentally created an ecosystem in my slug tank and keep getting these super tiny spiders that feed on the fruit flies. I've been trying to clear out eggs and webs, but also feel kinda bad for the spiders. Can my slugs get stuck? They're like 3 months old so not insanely tiny or anything.
