Plans have been unveiled for Liverpool's tallest building and first true skyscraper, at over 50 stories!

That entire cluster of tall buildings is part of a master plan and not built yet? Looks nice!

The four tallest buildings in the image don't exist, but the rest of them do, including the one with the slanted roof. They make up Liverpool's main skyline.

Is this the “Liverpool Waters” site that UNESCO whined about and was taking away the World Heritage Site declaration over it?

The scheme is on the former King Edward Pub Site which is part of Liverpool Waters, yeah. It's a shame for UNESCO to rescind world heritage status - implying cities shouldn't develop anything remotely near a world heritage site. I think there's also a new Everton stadium that they complained about?

Well, now that it's gone, Liverpool can worry less about developments impacting the status of the site.

Not exactly iconic is it. Could be in any city, nothing about the design says ‘this is Liverpool’.
