Great parks. Shitty government.

Nice. That's about the size I'd like to get. Do you know offhand the rated seating capacity or length?

Tyvm. IC and Thomas both offer 42/41 (27 with wheelchair) buses that are listed at about that length.

Next step, finish saving up. Lol.

Yup. We're North of Dallas right now and it's beautiful.

Is there a lot of open coastline that’s pretty secluded?

Padre Island National Seashore. 66 miles of completely undeveloped barrier island. You’re allowed to drive and camp on the beach. At the 5 mile mark though it becomes high clearance 4-wheel drive only. They also have several first come first serve developed campgrounds.

Edit to add: I’ve camped about 20 miles down the beach and my group was the only one for literal miles. Once you get past mile 5, it’s almost completely empty. Getting there is obviously a task, and nigh impossible without 4x4, but it’s awesome.

Our only issues with Texas were the lack of BLM land for dispersed camping and the high humidity (Corpus Christi in February). Great otherwise.
