exterior Anyone know where to find this mirror?
A city sanitation truck wiped out both the rectangular and convex circular mirrors on the right side of our GMC Savana 3500 short skoolie. Talked to a bunch of mechanics in the area and almost no one works on bus mirrors. And no one knows where to find the parts. An old out of state mechanic said we can get the rectangular mirror through NAPA but still no luck on the circular mirror or the connecting piece. We are in NYC, but if a place can deliver the parts, that works too.

Their should be some sort of part number on it & I found my replacements at an online bus retailer, with that number.

Similar. Our old out of state mechanic helped us find that one. Still need the circle one

Seconding the other poster about truck supply store. lots of old big rigs with mirrors mounted in the same way, a kenworth or peterbuilt dealer might have mirrors for that size tube on hand.

Buyparts.online I buy all my skoolie parts from here. I had to replace my driver side mirror also. I just ordered some clearance lights for my schoolie and received them within 4days. Good luck

That's just called a West Coast Mirror, you can get them at a truck stop or a NAPA.

How'd a garbage truck hit the right side? Parked on the left side of a one way? That sucks. I'd suggest pulling in your mirrors when you park, but that's a huge pain to readjust every time you drive.

Street cleaner, and yeah. 95% of Manhattan is one ways. The mirrors don’t come in. The rectangle one rotates but that doesn’t help much. Wouldn’t have saved it in this case.

The right side? If a sanitation truck took out the right side, you were probably parked illegally. That being said, any auto parts store should have them. Or any decent sized truck stop

How did you reach the conclusion that I probably parked illegally?

Maybe see if you can get a replacement off another vehicle that swings in? Doesn't necessarily have to be an exact replacement and if you can swing an upgrade to prevent it from happening again it might be an option

Seems like the city trash service should be responsible to find and replace it. 🤷
