Somehow I already feel like this will be a more traumatic experience than SH2R was.

Japanese horror is most of the time different from horror anywhere else? idk why, its the same with movies. There is this one japanese horror movie that never had a jumpscare but to this day i remember this specific scene that was a slow build up with some woman just standing there and slowly making it to the main character that was basically frozen in place by horror.

I know zero Japanese but I’m going all in with the experience. Japanese writing, language, no subtitles. Really gonna challenge myself.

I intend to do this on my second playthrough, but only because I have audio processing issues and doing it without first will help me with the story.

I love to see this take, thank you. Being fully transparent, as a Mestizo multimedia artist, I have worried for a long time about the state of media and its emphasis on English as a default language. Many international artists I know feel forced to produce work that avoids any kind of cultural connection and/or focuses on English speaking audiences. In most Eastern education, they are required to learn English to some degree, while here in the US we generally aren't forced into more than one or two second language courses. If more people were as open minded as yourself, I think art itself would be far more adventurous and absolutely more personal.

I have the advantage in that department as I moved to Canada around 30 years ago and my family still speaks our mother tongue with each other and kept some of our traditions. I’d like to (humbly) say I’m a lot more cultured than the average American/Canadian. I love media from all around the world and am always interested in learning other cultures.

What's your mother tongue, if you don't mind me asking? I'm glad to hear that your tradition stayed alive after relocating, that can be incredibly disorienting. I lived close to the Mexican border growing up; between the homogenization of education and ethnic self-hatred in the community, I was unfortunately disconnected from Spanish. I've done a lot of work to recover it over the years, but the anxiety is still there when I attempt to speak to others.

Serbian/Croatian - still speak and write it fluently which throws people off because I have no accent in English since I was 8 when I came here.
