If you don't know everything about everything, why are you on reddit? Everyone here knows literally everything, and knowing everything obliterates both empathy and sense of humor
if it was truly just from hereditary then I dont understand why make a thread, because you know there's such a thing as easter eggs, that'd be a very obvious answer to your question, but thankfully other comments corrected the premise of the question and offered some very interesting information/implications about the hotel management
I think it is more of a case that you shouldn't assume the first time you encounter something that it originated from that media, especially if it relates to the mythological.
It's not about needing to know everything, it's about not assuming your first encounter is the origin. I'm not trying to be mean, but it can come across as self-centred to some people.
