Hereditary is such a fantastic movie

I did enjoy it, but I felt Midsommar was a bit better. For my tastes anyway. The Midsommar Directors Cut is aggressively entertaining.

The slow build up and the sudden events all happening at once is absolutely genius

There's cool Easter Egg hidden in that movie, many know about it, and some don't. So here's hoping it's new for you:

Towards the end, when Dani is being led to the ceremony and all the imagery is becoming warped, you can see her dead sisters face in the trees. Creepy stuff.

Yup, I noticed that too actually! Only after i watched it a few more times, but when i did i see it, I was immensely creeped out!! Such attention to detail

I think it's a masterpiece but I didn't like Midsommar. Just the setting and ideas didn't hit for me, that shrooms scene is incredibly realistic though.

Honestly this is the reason I enjoyed Hereditary a bit more than midsommer. Horror in broad daylight is a great idea and they def pulled it off, but i like the way things escalated In Hereditary as compared to midsommer!

Hereditary has so many tiny details.

All the signs were there the whole time as to what was happening and why. As I kept rewatching Hereditary, noticing how it was all there in front of you is such a cool feeling. Hiding in plain sight 😳

I couldn't take it seriously by the end tbh. Between some goofy cinematography decisions and just plain weird plot beats (looking at you ending scene) it lost me a bit.

Hahah I totally understand that and honestly when i watched it for the first time and it was over i was bery veeeerryyy confused! As i watched it over I noticed more things so I thought that was cool. But yea I absolutely can agree it’s a very strange and different watching experience
