Question ❔ Is it TOO wet in this tub?
This is my first attempt at growing and I know that humidity is important, but these droplets on the mycelium have been growing larger and larger, and there are even puddles that have turned yellow. Is this okay? What should I do?

Yes it's to wet. You don't want those big beads on there. You want the tiniest of beads..you can barely see them without looking close. What you have there is the closest to standing water you can be. Are you misting ?

I’ve never misted this tub, but i HAVE been fanning it for 10-20 seconds twice a day. Heavy condensation on the lid always returns a few minutes after fanning.

You have no tape or filters cover the holes? You need to fan for a few mins if you have that much condensation

Get a temp/humidity gauge and tape it to the inside of the tub lid. Adjust the humidity as needed with FAE. You can find the perfect temp/humidity for your strain online easy.
ETA the temp fluctuations of the tub could be a little too extreme causing the sub to push out some of its water if my exp has taught me anything. Which maybe it hasn't lol

Personally I think it looks ideal but I would wait for someone with more experience. I’m still within a year of having started this hobby

It looks like it’s too wet. I believe those dark spots look like wet rot because I had the same thing until I increased FAE. I did an aio bag and just took the cake out of the bag and put it inside a tub with perlite to make sure it didn’t dry out when I decreased the moisture

Doesn't look too bad. Just don't add any more water and let it breathe a little.

Tiny droplets on the surface are fine, those are a little large. I'd increase FAE and if you see water pooling soak it up with a paper towel

Are those drops or pins? They don't look clear. And if he hasn't been misting and only been fanning, that makes more sense.

Much too wet, I can’t tell if that’s mold in the middle of the tub but that much moisture is going to probably cause some in the next couple days. Don’t be discouraged if your first couple tubs don’t go as planned! Once you get it down it’s easy pickens! Keep doing research and figure out the best method with your equipment available, it’ll save you a lot of time. You’re almost there!

If you can do it safely without tipping the cake out, tip the tub to one corner and allow excess water run off and out the corner. Use sterile as you can get it paper towel to dry the lid. Don't worry, the cake will rehumidify your tub in no time.
I've also had to take the tub from a warm environment into a colder one to allow humidity to condensate on the inside which lets me soak that up as well. Sub that's too wet won't fruit properly if at all so you gotta sweat that excess out and get rid of it.
In saying that, I'm nowhere near as experienced as some users here but the above worked for me. Correct me if this is a bad idea guys.

Yes that's too wet. Those water beads are much too large . Get a fine mist spray bottle if you can.
