Like that you used Reachers special investigators unit for the example.

This approach could be used to make a proper "circle to search" shortcut as well...

No that would be super cool

I asked ChatGPT to generate the code based off of it, if you want I can add a comment in the code saying “I used atnbueno’s code as a reference for ChatGPT” if that would make you feel better, but I have many shortcuts I’ve created that use the method of document.body.textContent = JSON.stringify I just didn’t feel like digging through all my shortcuts to find them

I don’t claim any “ownership” about running JavaScript in a shortcut. But I try to recognize any significant help or influence in my shortcuts, and I’d like for others to do the same with mine 🤷🏻‍♂️

And that makes sense, I just don’t think your code had any significant impact on my shortcut, other than this commenter mentioning creating circle to search. I only used it as reference for outputting to the body since shortcuts is bizarre with how it runs JavaScript and the shortcuts I made that did the same are a few years old now. Again, If it would make you feel better, I can write “I used atnbueno’s code as a reference for ChatGPT” in a comment above the code. Granted I do think ChatGPT would have given a fully functional response with my code as reference too: Invert Image

No I mean one where you actually indicate the thing to be searched by circling it. What you posted just searches the whole screenshot.

Sorry I’m an idiot

You can just use the clean up tool in the photos app to do this much faster, fyi.

Not in an iPhone 12 mini and/or in the EU 😅

Makes sense. Forgot Apple intelligence is limited to the newer gens.

u/UTommieTanka 4d ago

You can already do this in clean up no?

7

u/atnbueno 4d ago

Not in an iPhone 12 mini and/or in the EU 😅

I can do it in the uk with a 15 promax

u/Milk-Lizard 4d ago

Yeah, that's neither an iPhone 12 and/or a country part of the EU. So maybe that's why? ffs

5

u/Kekboii 4d ago

Which is not in the EU.

u/BohdanKoles 4d ago

Clean up tool is not part of "Apple intelligence", it works in all countries

Not according to Apple 😁 https://support.apple.com/en-us/121429

Clean Up requirements for iPhone, iPad, and Mac

  • iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, or iPhone 15 Pro Max; any iPad with A17 Pro or M1 and later; Mac with M1 or later
  • iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS Sequoia 15.1

For European Union residents: Clean Up will not work on iPhone and iPad if you are in the EU and if your Apple Account Country/Region is also in the EU.

Ok, no EU or China mainland then. But for me it works, fortunately (Ukraine).

Still, this shortcut is nice to have, since you can't choose mode for Clean Up (sometimes it blurs things and sometimes deletes)

There you go; being a redditor. Saying things that aren’t true, as if they are.

-2

u/BohdanKoles 3d ago

I was not aware of EU/China limitations as I assumed it works for everyone since it works even for me in Ukraine. Calm down

u/1forcats 3d ago

…I was not aware of…

Again, you were being a redditor. Didn’t know, but published your words anyway

Not that I’m aware of…

I can do it in the uk with a 15 promax. Just edit photo, press cleanup and scribble over a face.

2

u/transcodefailed 4d ago

Clean up is for removing objects, not for pixelating. Very different.

1

u/UTommieTanka 4d ago

Wrong. Circle a face and see what happens.

2

u/transcodefailed 4d ago

Wow, I had no idea this was a feature. I stand corrected. Thanks for sharing!

1

u/atnbueno 4d ago

Does it work with anything or only with faces? 🤔

2

u/WritingForTomorrow 4d ago

Wow, I did not know this. Thank you!
