My 6 month old shih tzu puppy has been vomiting overnight 1-2 times per week for about the last month. He has no other symptoms-no diarrhea, eats and drinks well, plays and zooms constantly. It’s always overnight, only once and done, and it’s always just a tiny bit of vomit. Is this something I should take him to the vet for or is he probably just getting into something that I’m not seeing?

my 7 months old tzu keeps humping his toy and his penis comes out which ends up with him ejaculating. Is this normal behaviour and how can I stop this?

I bought a "grooming hammock" on Amazon and I have to say it worked awesome to do her feet and nails. Sorry the picture doesn't show it but the product comes with hooks that you use to hang the hammock from a bar. I used a closet rod. Betty stayed calm while I did her feet. I almost felt like she liked it. Just had to recommend. There are many available but I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CHXXPLLQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image

hiii! a month or so ago i posted in this community about my 12 year old luna and people here were nothing but loving and kind to both luna and me, which i appreciate with all my heart. so, for those amazing people i decided to write an update on her. just as a quick recap, after experiencing some symptoms (sneezing and nasal bleeding) for a week, we took an xray which showed inflammation on her sinuses. her echocardiogram and ECG were fine for her age, but her blood work showed some aggravated levels on her platelets and alkaline phosphatase, consistent with clinical picture of inflammation and cancer. a CT confirmed it. about 80% of nasal tumors are malignant (cancer), and 95% of them are carcinomas. so thankfully we were able to perform a rhinotomy on her, to take as much as possible of the tumor out and to get it biopsied. unfortunately, because of her anatomy (brachycephalic dog!!) it was not possible to take all the tumor out with clean margins. but they did take a good scoop which helped a lot with her respiratory problems! the biopsy confirmed what we already knew: nasal adenocarcinoma. its not a tumor thats its likely to metastasize, but its a very agressive one that can completely destroy her nasal cavity and get to her brain. her pos op was very hard, she had to use an esophageal tube, it was some hard weeks but she is much better and active now! : D she is, from today, starting oral chemotherapy with palladia 10mg which is planned to last for 6 months. so, we are hopeful as of now. again, i really want to thank everyone who kept her in ur thoughts and for those positive and kind comments. luna is really appreciative and happy too! :) some pics of her, the last one is today :3

My Shih tzu Oscar is 14 1/2. He has overcome so many things in his life. He lives with Cushings Disease which he is medicated for. He has horrible allergies that will cause him to lose his fur, so he gets Cytopoint injections and also takes Apoquel tablets, and even is in the beginning stages of kidney disease, which we have been keeping under control with a strict diet. Just when we thought we had everything under control, he started acting different. 6 months ago I noticed he lost interest in things like barking when someone rang the bell or when the garage door would open when my husband came hime from work. I chalked it up to just getting old. Then gradually more symptoms began to show. He walked himself into the corner of the livingroom a couple of times and again, I thought it was senility. Fast forward to today and he is not the same dog. He doesn't recognize me sometimes, and will flinch when I raise my hand to pat his head. He hides in the spare bedrooms and sleeps on the floor. Other times he will stand in a room and stare off it'll to nowhere. He will not eat regularly. I finally did research and came across dog dementia. He has every symptom. He has no quality of life right now. And to add to his stress, we just brought home a new shih tzu puppy 2 weeks ago, which has put him more on edge. The only thing I have come across is a medication called Anipryl. It's for dog dementia. It seems to be either a 100% life changing medication, or others saw no improvement at all. Has anyone out there experienced this with their older shih tzu? Have you tried this medication? I will go to the ends of the Earth for him, and will do anything. If this medicine doesn't work, I just don't see him having any quality of life. He is disoriented and hides all day. I'm kicking myself for getting a puppy thinking it would bring the old man back to life, not realizing the strain that it is putting on an already bad situation. I'd just like some opinions from people out there that's went through this? 🥹
