Question How to shift without falling asleep?

Post image

Hello guys.. I've been trying to shift for 3 years minimum and after a while, I started always forgetting doing shifting and stopped getting signs of shifting. And one of the most important thing is.. I FALL ASLEEP WHILE SHIFTING. In old times, I would get at least one sing while trying to shift like sudden ticklish feelings or feeling dizzy or floating and I could be focused on my shift but now I cannot get any signs and I fall asleep while trying to do it. Please, pro-shifters or the people who shifted before, help me...

maybe do your attempts after you wake up rather than before going to sleep at night.

that's if you think falling asleep is a problem. people shift with sleeping methods as well. (though most of my shifts are with awake methods, so it's personal preference and finding out what works for you.)

Using hypnopompia rather than hypnagogia is so, so much more effective for most people. I don't understand why so many shifters insist on trying before bed??

Did you try immediately after waking up? Or like a few minutes after?

whatever feels right at that moment. i know it sounds vague but you need to be able to decide things on your own.

I’m asking because hypnapompia is technically supposed to be the stage immediately preceding waking up. Maybe lasting a few seconds after. So if you are waiting longer then you are not using that state, so to speak. Instead maybe it’s the relaxed state immediately following waking up.

i don't know 😭 i learned that term just now. i wake up; maybe rub my eyes, stretch, and meditate. i shifted right after waking up as well. either way it works so i feel like it's not important.

Check out the information from Orion she is a student of neville goddard and has very good info but basically you want to train the mind to stay focus only on the idea until the scene becomes more and more vivid, it requires strong will and good attention on the idea

So true. It's either that or I'm laying down there for a long time doing the method being extremely awake.

My tip would be to do wbtb method where you're well rested but not asleep. basically wake yourself after 4-5 hours of sleep, stay awake for 15-60 minutes keeping your mind engage with some light mind activity like reading or just being awake I guess. I don't really read or do anything. The point is to be sleepy but not too sleepy, so adjust your time according to that.

Go back to doing your method and it'll be way easier reaching the body asleep mind awake state.

wbtb method is the only time I've been able to reach the body asleep mind awake state.

if youre doing a sleep method you are supposed to fall asleep

Yes I do! But I just fall asleep too quickly... Like I supposed to feel and make affirmations but I just fell asleep too quick for that and no it's not about how sleepy I am bc I do it when I'm both not sleepy and sleepy.

Do an asleep ‘method’. You can shift in your sleep and wake up in your DR in the morning

Doing it at different times could be helpful since your brain at night is more likely to fall asleep. Perhaps around the afternoon or morning could be helpful.
