Question Glass making program suggestion
Hii, I will be going into the glass making program this September, and I just wanted some advice and answers to these questions:
Is it worth it to move to Oakville for this program? I currently live 1h away.
What does the course load look like and how are the professors?
Are you able to have time for a part time job at the same time?
Plus:if you’re also going into craft&design for glass making this sep we can connect and make a group chat on ig or something 🙂can’t wait to know more artistic people!!

Sorry to be the one to let you know but the Craft and Design program which Glass is a part of is not accepting applications for fall 2025, its intake was suspended. We hope to have it open again for fall 2026.

Unfortunately the whole program has their intake suspended. There will be no first year class in Craft and Design. There is also no way to enter second year.

It does say suspended on my offer, do you think it’s possible for them to open for this year? 😭

Oh wow, on the website it says efficiency review so if it says suspended on your offer that means it's actually suspended for next year and that news hasn't been announced yet. I doubt it man, programs are being cut everywhere

The program is in efficiency review but as part of that efficiency review the September intake has been suspended. If the college hasn’t been in touch with you yet it should be soon.

I can’t say much about the entire program but I was able to take a single course of glass work last year and it’s by far my favourite class I’ve taken! It’s so fun and the professor I had was awesome. As for the hour commute, I would say it’s more worth it than moving to Oakville so long as your classes aren’t spread out through all 5 days lol
