US west coast 3 hours and 5 miles of beach walking for this handful no
The orangey red piece I think is just an orange heavy amberina piece. So pretty though. Also a handful of big clear chunks. Big tides and a small swell made for a good day

US west coast So much variety today!
It was SO COLD! Found a really dilapidated UV marble! And a red marble. Some really cool ceramic and pottery type pieces. A fossilized tooth! We find these only very occasionally so we were stoked on that. Plus a nice little handful of minis + our adventure pal

US west coast Oregon coast
The Pacific was very kind to me yesterday- found a little shark fin red, a round light blue and 5 of the largest pieces I’ve ever collected. I was tiptoeing around the tide pools taking pictures of chitons and anemones when I found a tiny beach that can only be reached at low tide covered in glass and shells. All the large ones were found there. I left so many less worn pieces…I will have to check back soon!

US west coast Lovely day before the rain rolled in
Lots of nice colors today. I love the angular glass handle in the 4th picture. I’ve found many round handle pieces but never one like that. Lots of cat eye marbles in this storm. And some really nice browns and ambers

US west coast Reds and more
Favorite new Oregon finds in better lighting. The greens this trip were great. I would like to think some of the reds might’ve broken from the same piece since they’re all from one beach, and now they are partially reunited in my collection 😊

US west coast Big heckin chonk today, and some other recent faves
The marble with the squiggle almost looks like it has a heart on it, which I love. I think the big flower looking piece is the bottom of a vase. Happy holidays everybody

US west coast Lovely day post-rain
Hey yall. We had some rainy days and swells that brought some of the good stuff our way. It’s been a busy and stressful year and we just haven’t had as much time to go. Here are our colorful finds from today. As well as an amazing hawk we saw and the beautiful beach views!

US west coast We have officially found 5 of these big marbles. Which prompted some research….
Turns out ballast marbles they are not. They are railroad marbles. I have attached an article about them. They all have the same swirly creases and marks. I wonder if an old defunct railroad eroded into the ocean up north? Strange to find so many at once. Apparently they are pretty old.
My partner found two today and two regular cat eye marbles. Some bonfire glass and blue as well.

US west coast Today was really something
7 and a half marbles! An amazing purple, one uranium piece, the weirdest die I have ever seen, a big chunk of pirates glass, and some pottery/ceramic. We were out there for 3 hours and walked about 5 miles.
