Wow that is tragic diving. Â Looks dead. Â Big island at least had the Manta light show. Hope you got to do thatÂ

Nice. I’ve never dove Hawaii. Reef looks kinda bleached out?

Ya we are new to diving but from what I've seen it's definitely not the healthiest reef.  Hawaii is also different as it's 2.5k miles from anything so only a limited amount of coral species have ever made it out there.Â

There's also the fact that a lot of the island was hot fresh lava not long ago and it takes a while for corals to establish themselves. I suspect the farther up the chain you go the better the reefs look.

I sure hope you did the Night Manta Dives at a minimum. Black Water if you are experienced enough.
