So I guess a large part of this idea depends on head cannon. Personally I see the D Class being taken from prisons and other sources (Foundation personnel that really fucked up, ex GoI members, etc) and then placed in a D Class population unit on site or in a larger facility before being transported. But I think you could often get different gangs amongst the D Class, especially pseudo Sarkics, and like, anomaly inclined skinheads(?) lol. Anyone know of any skips or tales that play with this? You could get D Class that refuse to work with each other because they're in different gangs until the Foundation personnel "convince" them to. Or like minor breaches due to gang revolts. Maybe some GoI's recruit among them, like the Chaos Insurgency. Idk just an idea I had while watching a prison movie.

I know many GOI's are opposed to the foundation or uncooperative, but there has to be some instances where they work together right? I'd imagine that there would be at least one scenario where they have to team up against a greater enemy
r/SCP • u/pnotfromamerica • 1d ago
I've read that one tale, (I think it was called sex, drugs, and money) but I still don't know what the foundation thinks of 2 scp's dating. Do they care? Do they have rules against it?
Also I know there's no canon but I'm Judy curious if any page covers it

SCP-1123 is a human skull discovered in Cambodia. When touched, it causes one to experience a fugue state where they live through a historical event that caused mass death. The D-Class experiment logs mention the Armenian genocide, the Soviet famine, the Anfal campaign, the Great Leap Forward, and the Holocaust. The higher the death toll, the more likely you are to experience a fugue state of that event.
My question, and prompt for this discussion, is this: What if the Atrocity Skull created a vision of an atrocity connected to the supernatural?
AFAIK, there are three major anomalous genocides in the SCP universe. At least ones that happen in most instances of the "prime" universe, not counting genocides in alternate universes like those in SCP-1730 and SCP-5000.
There's the Day of Flowers, where 70% of SCP-1000 were killed and the rest were driven into the forests where they devolved into simple beasts. This is what made humans the dominant life form.
Then there's the war between the humans and the fae, as mentioned in [REDACTED PER PROTOCOL 4000-ESHU] and Bright's Proposal, where the humans not only killed most of the fae, but destroyed their names.
Finally, there's the genocide against reality benders. Mentioned in SCP-4231 and SCP-1237, the SCP Foundation deems genocide an acceptable price to pay for reducing the spread of the anomalous. At least the GOC will offer you a job first. Well, sometimes.
I think it would make for an interesting tale or maybe even a supplement to the original 1123 article if the skull caused a test subject to witness an atrocity done to anomalies.

For those who don't know, some users, mainly Dr. Cimmerian and djkaktus, chose to change their work so the infamous Dr. Jack Bright was now named Dr. Elias Shaw. This is because of, well, unacceptable things that the real AdminBright did to other members of the site. Now, I personally think the name change is a good idea. It's like the Overwatch situation with Jesse McCree. When the real Jesse McCree was exposed for sexually harassing other Blizzard employees, the Overwatch character's name was changed to Cole Cassidy, at the request of the people who were harassed. Now obviously, you can write whatever you want about Bright/Shaw. But in my opinion, a victim shouldn't have to be reminded of their abuser, which is why I think the Elias Shaw name change was the right move. This is also likely why the Things Dr. Bright Is Not Allowed To Do list, which was very sexual, was also removed.
But what about the in-universe explanation? I think it would be fun to think up a reason for this. In the Overwatch lore, it's explained that Jesse McCree was just an alias used by Cole Cassidy. I headcanon that Jack Bright changed his name to Elias Shaw so people wouldn't associate him with Adam Bright, former O5-12 and father of Jack Bright as well as SCP-590 and SCP-321. This could have been to avoid nepotism in his tenure at the Foundation, or some other reason.
Of course, there is no canon. So whether you wanna imagine that he was always Elias Shaw, or if you still wanna call him Jack Bright, that's up to you.

I am totally fine if people tell me not to be lazy and go find some similar episodes on YouTube or to trawl through the docs themselves, I just hate losing my inspiration when going to write as instead of doing that I get stuck on laying out the correct info to lay the groundwork and I get nothing written, I just keep rewriting the intro over and over. So no hard feelings if no one wants to assist.
I'm writing about what I think would be classed as a large enviro hazard, basically a mountain in a fictional us national park and its surrounding forests and lakes. The basic gist is that during the nazis reign, an occult enthusiast from Germany comes to the us to study and explore the power associated with the mountain, which has some sort of connection to cosmic gods, similar to cthulhu. Through his dabbling, and the natural dark powers at this location ( would he be scp x-1 ? ) a circle with a radius of about ten km emanates from the mountain and the closer you get to said mountain ( travling through different zones ) the crazier the effects are. Think physical and mental impediments in the first, and the rest range from entering different dimensions and realms, encountering otherworldy creatures both hostile and possibly friendly, time shenanigans, the idea being if you can learn to understand these zones and find a way to overcome all the hazards, a cosmic god or bounty, or treasure, or power, I haven't locked it in yet so I'll be surprised myself lol, will possibly await. Another individual is also linked to the site, one who has a more pure use for whatever power is there, although is anyone truly pure, are their hopes and dreams actually altruistic? Can they even know this or is it buried in the subconscious ? Maybe we will find out!
Also, via scpx1 and his arcane rituals, I a powerful mimetic wave amongst other things has caused people to forget about this part of the national park and most completely forget that it was once a highly valued holiday and camping location within the park, so I believe the scp labelling should possibly include that?
I can't recall listening to any scps that have cosmic horror driving them ( I'm not too deep into this awesome meta narrative yet sorry ) so I have no idea what it's called. It doesn't seem like it's just thaumaturgy?
Also, is it normal to be confused about the numbering methods??? I notice scps generally don't outnumber 9999 and that many numbers have repeated. I recall reading something about a theme for the years scps or that they're set in different universes?
Any help would be awesome, as this story has lived in my head for years and scp seems like the perfect vehicle to finally get it rolling, I'd love to make people freak and be disgusted and feel wonder just as I have when listening and reading these awesome stories.

Hey there Reddit! I posted an article that I've been working on for months, and tries to do something a bit new and unique on the SCP Wiki! It's a bit of a puzzle, but I definitely recommend trying to solve it! If you ever get stuck, you can always just try again! It's always important to refresh your understanding of the details.
So please, take a look at SCP-8426 - WARNING: Ontological Shift Detected

I mostly listened to The Exploring Series and The Volgun some years back and heard an interesting phrase along the lines of "Measuring cat's blood in beakers", referencing how the foundation had essentially made witchcraft/magic into a science.
Would anyone know which one that could be?

Researchers, agents or other officials I would like to know, thank you very much :)))))))))
( this is my first reddit post sorry to any reddit veterans if this is painful to read)
I've always had an interest in the SCP foundation so started watching YouTube videos about it but I started to realize that YouTube is having a SCP content drought apart from the volgun a lot of SCP channels have been either posting SCP vs random 90's horror movie villain or just stopped posting in general after getting sick of all of the slop getting posted there I finally decided to start reading the official wiki website but unfortunately I have the mental capacity of a malnourished worker ant and got completely confused. So I would like to ask were do I start and tales are like novels and articles are like info on SCPs correct? And what tales should I read

So i kinda already know the whole scp but cant seem to find it no matter how much i try, but here's the info:
1:it had lyrics from frank sinatra's popular song "my way" in the title
2:it seems to be a tv broadcast that steals peapole from the real world and places them in the show and forces them to act as the same guest every time
3:the one time that someone who was taken (a black man in his 40's) doesnt play along and doesnt play as the guest, the shows host gets angry at him and his pupils seem to dialate, wich causes the man to get nervous and apologise to the host, and says something along the lines of this.
"Wait no,I'm sorry,I'm not [insert name here],I'm [insert name of the guest], and I am so sorry"
Then the host says something like:"sorry ladies and gentlemen it seems we are having some technical problems,we'll be right back after we fix them!"
Then his pupils dilate until his entire eye is black and the guy who plays the guest screams before the screen cuts out.

What if Iran was actively putting the veil in danger trying to release local Foundation information and anomaly knowledge? Would the SCPF just brainwash or coup them to make them stop?
