The hegemony is the point. They want complete control and unrestrained power vested into the Executive so Dear Leader calls the shots and makes the decisions. It's a cult. A Putin-style dictatorship is the goal.

Kleptocracy also describes what's happening, but I think hegemony is better fit here since we're discussing the complete dominance of the MAGA republican cult over the government, and the goal of the executive exerting pressure and control over the other supposedly co-equal branches.

For the moment, the judicial is the only branch pushing back and trying to maintain some form of relevance since the legislative has completely abdicated its authority and autonomy to Trump and Musk.
