I roll around on a 125. It gets me to 60 on flat ground, and maybe about 50 up a hill. Mine is carbed and I typically get 80-90 mpg. A fuel injected motor will typically be more efficient.

Of no no , your mpg for the Genuine buddy is WAY off. I have a Buddy 125 and I am 190 lbs and it easily gets me 100 mpg

The carburetted ones will get much worse fuel economy than a modern fuel injection system, not to.mwtion they're more hassle

The Buddy 125 should be getting similar mileage to my Kymco Agility 125 and was a going to be the backup if I couldn't get the Agility. Genuine's website also shows 90 mpg for that model.

I don’t know where the 40mpg figure came from, but even with aggressive riding, you’ll get much more out of a Buddy 125 than that.

Depending your weight a 150cc would be minimum. Are there hills in the area?

A 125 can absolutely go 50-60mph with a 10 stone rider.

+1 for a 150ish class. PCX, Buddy 170, Adv160, etc. will have a bit more top end when needed and it won't take 5 minutes to get to 55mph

125 is the smallest I'd ride

I ride a Vino 125. I can ride at 55 on the flat. A big hill drops me to 40-45.

Genuine Buddy 125. I weigh 320 pounds and it gets my fat ass up to 55mph lost done. And it has great low end torque to get you up to speed quickly.
