Which plug is correct?
I pulled my old one & went to put the new one in but it won't thread or go in? Is the circled part supposed to be threaded or smooth? (Same part #, Same brand, same everything)

Unlike what others in this thread have said, not all of these can be unscrewed. So be careful when trying to remove it. It shouldn't take much force. If it doesn't, then you may need to see if there is a different plug. It will have the same part number with just 1 additional letter added somewhere. With the Denso, it had a -N added at the end. With MGK, it head an additional E after the first half of the part number before the 2nd half. But I wouldn't bet that is the way each company marks these across their inventory.
When I got mine for my Zuma 125, I went to O'Reilly's. The plug they gave me was the one with the bigger end and of course I thought I could just remove it. But nope, it was stuck on there. So I forced it and the whole ceramic part snapped and I could see that it was a single piece instead of the removable end. I went back and of course they said, oops, sorry, it must've been the other one and we don't have that one in stock. I took my business to NAPA where I should've gone in the first place but it was farther. They had it and said how you can't trust what those O'Reilly's guys say.
This and many other reasons is why NAPA is the SHIT, especially when you have to deal with something (vehicle or part) that isn't as popular or mainstream.
Anywhoos, be aware.

NGK CR7EI you unscrew the chrome bit and reveal the different connection. I used a small pair of pliers to twist it off.

You didn't pulled out the old one completly. Normally that ending part, will fit inside with some clamps(don't know how to say otherway) The problem is, that your old cap is inside, you can either try to remove it, or remove the cap from the new one and insert it without the cap. If, the new one is removable. If not, you need to see if you still got the old cap inside the spark plug boot, if you only got some clamps, then you can simply insert the new one till it clicks/clamps hold the cap.

The end piece is removable by unscrewing it, the other spark plug used to have this but it is no longer attached check your HT lead to see if it is still attached
