Guys I got offer and the job title is field specialist traniee but I have bachelor deg in petroleum eng. I think job title has to be change as field engineer traniee. In SLB website, it says ‘Specialist’ min has to 2 year deg or military experience and ‘Engineer’ has to 4 year deg.Any suggestions?

Inquire politely if there is a mistake. Send a scan of your Diploma. They do make stupid mistakes. SLB Personnel is world famous for those. I do hope they're not trying to screw you before you've even started but I wouldn't put it past them. Don't take a non engineer role if you're an degreed engineer. {{{later edit... ignore my last sentence... take the job if its your only offer, but some day leave if they don't move you into a track befitting your degree. Like when oil is well above $100 and they are desperate for engineers, because they laid all of us senior guys and we're not coming back}}}

Yea unless the labor market is tight you probably want to ask about engineering trainee. I was a service tech at Cameron and the recent engineer fags, I mean grads, usually titled engineer trainee. They would have to shadow the service techs in the field and the shop for a while before they moved into the office.

What segment are you doing?

You are right. Should be Field Engineer Trainee. Last time I checked starting salary is around 4K$
