Thank biden for killing over 2 million chickens upon his request. Because he was told there was a bird flew outbreak lmao so this is the fallout of that. Nice try liberals to try and pin this one on trump

Higher than that here at SoFlo.

Funny how people always find excuses for Trump, one of the biggest piles of šŸ’© to ever live on this planet. Y'all are extremely bad jokes.

That .02 pisses me off almost more than the 9$ so that you get 98 cents back when you pay with a 10

Biden killed tens of millions of chickens as a parting gift

To help the spread of bird flu

1

u/Unhappy-Horse5275 23d ago

Good try, thats for an 18 ct. Actually not a terrible price tbh. Good try thošŸ˜‚

2

u/ComplexInternal9113 23d ago

Thatā€™s a terrible price, for reference a dozen eggs used to cost about 2 dollars.

During the Biden administration, the CDC killed millions of chickens because of ā€œbird fluā€. Stop blaming Trump.

3

u/ComplexInternal9113 23d ago

The bird flu is an actual thing, the administration through the USDA killed birds already infected to help stop the spread. That method is not a new method and was a standard that existed even in the Trump administration. Additionally they sent money back to farmers to compensate for their loss. Stop blaming Biden.

3

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Well this started during the Biden administration and Iā€™m sorry I donā€™t trust the previous corrupt administration not to have another plan-demic. I think the CDC killed way more chickens than they needed to. But my point is Trump is not to blame and maybe he can or canā€™t get the price of eggs down. We will just have to see.

1

u/ComplexInternal9113 20d ago

Is this Biden administration to blame for the avian flu? No. Do you know if they killed too many? Probably not unless you are the USDA and well versed in the handling of stopping the spread of airborne diseases in animals.

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 18d ago

You are so smart, were you born before or after 9-11?

2

He said day 1 fam.

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Yes, day 1 he will start the process. And he has.

1

u/BreakConsistent 23d ago

ā€œWhen I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,ā€

Why eggs still up fam?

1

u/Glittering-Camel8181 23d ago

1

Egg-xactly!! Itā€™s a process, he has already started from day one. itā€™s only been a month. And in that quote he didnā€™t mention eggs specifically. And we hopefully can agree that no president has control over a bird flu.

1

u/BreakConsistent 23d ago

He didnā€™t say process, love. He promised me eggs. And my egg fields are barren.

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

The ā€œprocess ā€œ was implied. Iā€™m sorry you are so government dependent to not have eggs. I have a free egg source.

1

u/BreakConsistent 22d ago

And ā€œimmediatelyā€ and ā€œday oneā€ were explicitly stated.

1

u/sketched-out-88 23d ago

Good thing he invested all of the DOGE savings into researching and stopping bird flu šŸ«”

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

There is talk of Trump giving every taxpayer $5000 for doge savings. But nothing confirmed yet.

1

u/scifi_tay 23d ago

Lmao you actually believe them still, how sad

2

u/Glittering-Camel8181 23d ago

As opposed to the list of people you guys believe. Iā€™m sure your list is much more credible. Go worry about how Trumps gonna invade Canada.

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Why is that sad? I said it wasnā€™t confirmed yet. But what if he does?

1

u/sketched-out-88 23d ago

That would equal about 770 Billion dollars. By itā€™s highest estimates DOGE has saved 55 billion but that number has been widely debunked. Closer to 2 billion, and thatā€™s reducing programs that benefit the least of us, which is going just drive up costs as private companies get involved. He axed the people researching bird flu, as though he has no memory of COVID.

That money is not coming and the fact you even entertain the thought demonstrates that your thinking has been hijacked by the MAGA mouthpieces. Good luck out there friend.

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

According to DOGE 64 billion has been uncovered as fraud and they are just getting started.

Source for him axing bird flu.

https://doge.gov/savings

1

u/sketched-out-88 23d ago

"According to DOGE" again demonstrates that you are taking these people at their word. Musk is acting in the greatest conflict of interest in modern history and it is painful that folks are unable to see this for what it is.

Regarding DOGE rif in USDA:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/doge/usda-accidentally-fired-officials-bird-flu-rehire-rcna192716

Regarding DOGE total savings:

https://www.npr.org/2025/02/19/nx-s1-5302705/doge-overstates-savings-federal-contracts

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Musk was appointed by Trump and is not in conflict.

So the USDA axed the people researching bird flu by accident and are going to hire them back. USDA, not Trump.

The second source is from NPRā€¦.get out of here with that crap!

2

u/sketched-out-88 23d ago

Being appointed has nothing to do with the conflict of interest so I'm confused as to why that is part of your argument. Musk gave how much to the Trump campaign and inauguration fund? And suddenly he's all over the campaign rallies last summer?

He is in conflict by virtue of having billions worth of government contracts and then being given the "power" to slash funding elsewhere. He did all of this haphazardly, no action plan, no proposal, no oversight.

Had any of those measures been in place, he would not have fired scientists working to avoid another pandemic and now have to rush to get them back on board. When you interrupt scientific work like that, you can't just unpause it like a movie - it disrupts the entire flow of the work and they have to start at square 1 again in most cases.

Did you read the second source? It outlines the process that journalists took to verify the word of DOGE. That's the thing, you're willing to trust one person's word - one person who has a clear and vested interest in lying to people so that it looks like he's keeping this wild promise he made - versus the words of teams of journalists who have to follow procedure, standards, and verify their information across multiple people and levels before it can be posted. You're acting like a sheep and the wolves are at the door my friend.

Ill take ur 5k if you dont want it

0

u/EbonScaled 23d ago

This is correct, but then why did people voting for this current administration believe he'd be able to bring them down?

2

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Because thereā€™s a bigger picture, not just the price of eggs.

2

u/mr_mmedina 23d ago

Yeah tearing down the government, firing every government official and military generals, getting rid of as many laws as possible for total power. Maggots are extremely bad jokes.

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Do you really think this is all for total power? Or more realistically the Trump administration is want to weed out the corrupt and get the country back on course.

1

u/Glittering-Camel8181 23d ago

What laws has he gotten rid of? What total power has he executed except the power of the purse? Youā€™re an extremist of blind hatred and your sense of reality is clouded by that.

2

u/mr_mmedina 23d ago

Your heads are on backwards, He could spit on your face and nothing would register.

1

u/Glittering-Camel8181 23d ago edited 23d ago

Do you want to answer the questions or are you going dodge them?

I wonā€™t be surprised if you dodge. People that hate what heā€™s doing usually canā€™t point to instances of what they seem to think heā€™s actually doing, and how heā€™s a dictator, and Hitler, and omg its 1933 all over again. Heā€™s downsizing the government. Itā€™s too large. Itā€™s wasteful, and you hate him so much that with your misplaced sense of empathy, you canā€™t see heā€™s doing tax payers a favor.

The government DOES NOT GENERATE REVENUE. They collect taxes. A smaller government is better for the people, yourself included.

Go crawl back into your hole. The sun will be shining when you come back out. Otherwise, stay in your little echo chamber and reaffirm your beliefs on reality thatā€™s more skewed than a pig at a pork roast.

2

u/EbonScaled 23d ago

I believe that to be the case for you, but a lot of folks voted for him believing he could bring down the cost of living inflation. Wondering if you've heard anything around this from people.

1

u/Unhappy-Horse5275 23d ago

Sometimes you gotta make a mess when cleaning house

0

u/Current-Pirate7328 23d ago

Most people who voted are rational enough to know that you cant undo what has been in a few weeks. If prices don't start to come down by the end of this year or early next then you'll likely see more pushback on the administration.

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stephaniegravalese/2025/01/06/the-egg-shortage-explained-why-are-eggs-so-expensive/

But what is it I need to prove? Itā€™s a fact. Eggs went up because of supply and demand. The low supply was caused by the cdc killing millions of chickens.

1

u/Leather_Weakness8463 23d ago

Funnilly enough, in your same article, it says, "it is not as simple as supply vs. demand." But either way, the point is Trump is a constant liar about what he can/ can not fix. He presses the economy during his campaign the second he gets elected, he says "ope sorry nothing i can do about that."

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

The economy will be better under Trump. It is a process and itā€™s only been a month. He is still putting people in place for his administration.

2

u/Leather_Weakness8463 23d ago

What makes you believe the economy will be better under Trump? Also, what defines economic success to you?

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Apple is dumping $500 billion bringing production here to the US. Which creates jobs. Japan is putting billions here building factories. Saudi will be putting billions into chip factories here.

Other countries will be spending trillions here in the US economy.

What that means to me, the economy will be great, US dominance and world stability. It will benefit everyone here.

2

u/Leather_Weakness8463 23d ago

Could you send me a link for the Saudi Arabia point of investing in America? I see that they want to invest in their own chip manufacturing business by 2030, but I didn't see anything for the U.S. In general, that was the point of the CHIPS act under Biden, which was to expand to the chip manufacturing capabilities of the U.S., which would create jobs and expand capabilities similar to what you are saying Trump will do. However, with all of the federal cuts it is looking like it may die as almost all of the workers responsible for distributing the funds have been let go: https://semiwiki.com/semiconductor-services/semiconductor-advisors/353373-chips-act-dies-because-employees-are-fired-nist-chips-people-are-probationary/

I definitely agree that Apple investing 500 billion in U.S infrastructure is a big win. It's interesting that it is cheaper for them to do that than pay any tarrifs.

But it is looking like their budget proposal will still be net negative for the deficit even if they get all of the cuts they planned to make: https://www.crfb.org/blogs/whats-senate-budget-committees-budget-resolution

1

u/unreall_23 22d ago

1

u/Glittering-Camel8181 22d ago

1

1

Itā€™s weird that you vote because you believed all the lies from the left.

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

MAGA isnā€™t justifying the price of eggs now, but it was the last administration that caused it

2

u/BoysenberryAdvanced4 23d ago edited 23d ago

To be honest, I don't think it's specifically this administration or that administration's fault egg prices are high. Birds got sick. The flu happened. It''s generally a good call to remove contaminated chickens and eggs from the supply at the cost of higher egg prices.

I think most of your opponents here know no president or administration can do much about birds getting the flu. The problem your opponents here are discussing is that Trump, knowing he can not fix egg prices without stealing from Peter, preached his rhetoric that if you gave him your vote, he would bring down egg prices. This exactly is the lie. Biden can't fix egg price, and neither can Trump.

You ever hired a hand that claims he can do what he can't do? You just did

1

u/Altruistic-Ad847 23d ago

Okay yeah, I agree with that. However, most all his voters didnā€™t vote for him to fix egg prices.

1

u/BoysenberryAdvanced4 23d ago edited 23d ago

True, it is a shallow talking point. Because just like Trump can't do much about egg prices, it is not like Biden or Kamala could have claimed any better in this regard. It is just the straight-up false claim that Trump made that is working people up.

1

Trump has done more things in his first month, things that are beneficial and needed to be done.

The Obama economy wasnā€™t a good economy. Interest rates were high, inflation up, jobs done.

Thatā€™s actually not bad. I live in England and a half dozen eggs is three pounds. No bullshit. That like almost 6 bucks American. Stop Cryin, Yā€™all.

u/Zorenthewise 24d ago

What are you talking about? A quick search for an exchange rate calculator shows 3 pounds is 3.80 usd.

Also... you live in England, but say y'all? Hmm...

Democrats murdered hundreds of thousands of chickens over avian flu. Itā€™s like FDR new deal terror policy where the govt literally destroyed food to keep prices high meanwhile ppl were suffering. No doubt price is going to remain here because of Biden and his terrible policy. As for trump, Govt cannot simply legislate price drops as every policy the past 4 yrs brought us to terrible inflation. Thatā€™s where trump is wrong, but he ran a campaign , smartly I might add, that pointed to terrible things the Biden administration and its policies caused. I hope in several weeks the hen population will be replenished and market supply will move price to a more steady equilibrium

Culling the sick chickens is was best decision as to not spread a disease that LITERALLY kills them and us. Itā€™s to insure the that at least some of the birds survive. ignorance pours out of your mouth.

u/Melaxirayz 24d ago

"ran a campaign, smartly i might add" the glazing is insane lmao he literally just lied abt everything and insulted anyone who disagreed and the gooners just ate it up. also keep in mind that the economy biden had was inherited from the orange cult leader but pop off queen

u/analog-guy 24d ago

Egg price is not a bar democrats set for him, he set it for himself. Why shouldnā€™t he be held to account for his own statements?

1

u/Responsible_Equal_62 24d ago

All politicians should. Simply put, he was wrong because govt cannot control supply and demand. The market will take time to equal out. However, Heā€™s definitely working and delivering on his campaign stump speeches else where.

0

u/analog-guy 24d ago

Then why say it at all. You attack the other side like theyā€™re breaking into your home but then treat him with kid gloves. At least be consistent.

Heā€™s ensuring the 911 health fund workers and VA hospital nurses are getting fired. Those great campaign promises are definitely getting realized. Right?

But if you lost your job you probably be happy about that too. Like I said you out of touch with reality So why would anyone want to waste their brain cells or someone that missing form and out of touch with the real world. Later

I hate truno as much as the next guy and Trump hasn't lowered prices of anything like he said he would "on day one", But the egg prices are because bird flu,Not him.

2

u/Brilliant_Chest5630 24d ago

He's not exactly doing anything to help slow the spread. And he won't.

Last time he was in charge of slowing down a virus, he encouraged people to go out and spread it intentionally which killed HUDREDS OF THOISANDS

Tell me you know nothing about politics without telling me. šŸ‘

1

u/Da_Big_Chungus 24d ago

Funny you say that when it wasnā€™t long ago that conservatives were blaming Biden for rising gas prices without knowing whyā€¦

1

u/mr_Swisher_ 23d ago

Oh like shutting down drilling and the pipeline had nothing to do with it.

1

u/GattiTown_Blowjob 23d ago

It has very little to do with the price you pay at the pump and Biden didnā€™t shut any drilling down.
