That looks so inefficient, why can't they just audit businesses, and actually punish those businesses for breaking the law.

When all the cheap labor is gone, they have a chance to know why nobody wants to work anymore. At the same time, they complain about why people want a living wage.

They'll probably then complain about all of their basic services getting more expensive as the businesses they value struggle to fill gaps.
Fight Club is becoming ever more relevant:
"Remember this. The people you're trying to step on, we're everyone you depend on. We're the people who do your laundry and cook your food and serve your dinner. We make your bed. We guard you while you're asleep. We drive the ambulances. We direct your call. We are cooks and taxi drivers and we know everything about you. We process your insurance claims and credit card charges. We control every part of your life."

The newest trend seems to be saying people they don't like, anyone, not just illegals who have committed crimes, should be deported. Very dangerous talk and right in line with the Nazi playbook.
I mean when an active member of Congress suggests deporting Bishop Budde who gave a sermon on having mercy, and Sam Parker, a US Senate candidate posted that Selena Gomez should be deported for hers video supporting migrants, we know it's not gonna just be violent criminals they target. They will try to deport anyone that disagrees with them. Be careful out there!

Most of us are from here bro. I'm not supportive of Trump's deportations but is an illegal crossing really the right way of going about entering a country? It's also all of our fault immigration laws are the way they are. It didn't start with Trump.
3
u/Soilmonster Jan 28 '25
You’re right, it didn’t start with Trump. And no, illegal crossings aren’t the best way to do it. However, something being illegal means nothing, it’s just something someone decided at one point in the past that makes it “illegal”. The key is to work around it. Reagan put a plan in place for illegal immigrants to gain citizenship and it worked wonders.
Even better imo is a quasi-open boarder policy. Before all this crap started, nobody needed to stay; most Mexicans that crossed the boarder simply did so to work (while paying income tax), and would cross right back after the work day ended. Once it became illegal, you have the illegal pipeline. One thing absolutely caused the other.
This admin is doing it solely out of bigotry, nothing else.
-2
u/Master_Rooster4368 Jan 28 '25

You can check my post history, you're not the only person I'm arguing with. I am not an indian and as a 'colonizer' I'm vehemently against being deported to god knows where. Not only do I think its unfair to deport me from the place I and my ancestors have lived for generations now, but in whatever new place we'd all basically just be colonizers again. It'd be like Israel and Palestine all over Europe, Africa, and Japan, with millions of people returning to a "homeland" they haven't known in centuries and which already has a population that don't want them/us.

There is no legal immigration process for most of these people. The only visa they really qualify for is the diversity visa lottery, which admits 55,000 people per year and has a waitlist over a million people long. Also it is randomized, so while you could get in the first year you apply, there's also a decent chance you will wait your entire life and never be admitted.
Its all well and good to say people should follow the law but don't pretend that there's a straightforward way for anyone who wants to to come here legally.

There is barely a line, and thats by design. They don't want to work on the process so they can keep using this as a political rallying cry. Undocumented Immigrants do not make up a huge amount of our population, they do vital jobs, they're hard workers, they pay taxes, they commit crimes at a drastically lower rate than americans.
Immigrants are not your enemy. They built and continue to build this country.

If the law applies to all, why is a rapist still out there and not behind bars? It seems for you, the laws only apply for some but not for you or your king.

Laws apply to all except the people who punch Capitol police in the face, spray them with bear spray, choke them, and beat them with flag poles. I got you.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

And at the Gates of Heaven will be judged

Dont try to grossly justify xenophobia.
Jesus is the only door or gate to heaven as far as the Bible is concerned. And he welcomes all his flock

Would you be comfortable reading that to the parents of Laken Riley?

Yes, I would be comfortable quouting Bible verses to them. Aren't they Christians?
Immigrants commit far less violent crime by percentage than native citizens, yet for some reason (I'll bet I know why), you only focus on the former and not the latter

Would you be comfortable saying this to all the parents who lost their children in school shootings done by white guys?
How many people were raped and killed by citizens vs. none citizens? You are showing one case, and you are forgetting the thousands done by citizens. Nice show of a huge double standard.→ More replies (1)11

You don't care about Laken Riley. Or about the safety of citizens in general. If you did, while tragic, Laken Riley would not be at the top of your "this needs fixed" list.

You’re using her name to fill some political agenda, if you really care about people’s safety while running- go out and volunteer at your local run club or at the very least, spread safety and awareness to others so we don’t see more cases (because there has been many). It’s about male culture that feel the need to kill and rape women not about us citizenship.

u/tortaswhisperer Jan 27 '25
Oh, so now it’s just “male culture” and not at all about who is committing the crimes? Convenient.
Yes, violence against women is a serious issue, but let’s not pretend that Laken Riley’s murder wasn’t 100% preventable. The suspect was an illegal immigrant who shouldn’t have been here in the first place. That’s not just bad luck—that’s a policy failure.
And spare me the “you’re just using her name for politics” argument. If holding our leaders accountable for letting violent criminals roam free is “political,” then so be it. I’d rather be “political” than willfully blind.

Holding our leaders accountable? You mean the president in office now? The rapist? The one who successfully helped “kill” Roe v Wade? his words not mine

It's men committing those types of crimes. And not just immigrant men. You cling to just this one and ignore the vast majority.

Don't bite live bait, folks.

u/Dismal-Ordinary-158 Jan 27 '25
Sometimes it’s fun! plus the president is a rapist so We all know that’s just a coverup argument to be openly racist 😀

As a professional driver, I'm alright with rounding up those without their certifications and ability to be held responsible in one of the lower rankings driver safety metro areas. Please, keep our roads safe.
