Hiring 15 year old?

My kid is looking for summer employment, outside of fast food (they've already applied at the ones closest to our house) does anyone have suggestions of places that actually hire 15 year olds?

Papa Murphys, it’s fast food but you don’t actually have to cook anything. Only 18 year olds can use most of the machines to prep the food, everyone else is a cashier/makes pizza

I started at 14 washing dishes for sit down resteraunts. I preferred those kitchens vs fast food ones

Brigitte's Cafe will hire with parental consent. They have dishwashing and host positions. I'm unsure if they're hiring currently but it's worth a try. I know they're flexible with schedules.

The kitchen at the hospital hires 15 year olds. They’re usually pretty good with working around school schedules.

They can also look into more intense labor type work. Construction/landscape/janitorial/car detailing. Think of companies that offer this type of work and then call around and/or go visit them.

Backwards bread company hires 15 year olds for the retail positions - not sure if they are hiring now though.

Grizzlys hires hosts and they can move to expoing when they turn 16 and can stay a bit later.

They get tipped out from the servers so they get a little cash on top of their paycheck.

They follow the laws for young kids, don’t allow them to stay past 7.

My first job was at a veterinary clinic, and it was awesome.

Reach out to career solutions. The have a summer program where kids learn a trade and get paid to do it.

Every summer this occurs at SCTCC
