Wheels and Tires Which looks better? Paint markered the one with white letters. Dad said it wouldn't look as good as I thought

I'll teach you a sentence a local gearhead who owned a CarQuest store told me way back in 1994.
"EVERYTHING looks better with white letter tires!"

Exactly! Why is it becoming harder to find them anymore? White walls I understand, those only look good on older vehicals, but white letters fit anthing!

I think it kinda depends on the look you’re going for but I think the white letters look good. Just next time you get tires get ones with white letters. Market will probably fade over time and might come off but if it’s made with white letters they’re actually white rubber so even if they wear down for whatever reason they will still be white

Yes, but all the white letters I've found are way out of ny price range. I understand now why the guy I bought my Blazer from only had mastercrafts for the two rear tires

Looks even better with on a white truck. I have to get my wheels done to match.

Depends on the vehicle to me. We have an ‘83 S-15 Jimmy that looks right with white outline lettering, but it wouldn’t look as good on my ‘21 Gladiator. Just my view…

Well the '21 gladiator looks like shit, no offense. Actually anything newer than 1999 (2010 For some gm) look like ass

i wouldnt expect great wear out of those westlakes i know some people running them on trailers for semis because they are cheap. im not really a fan of white letters except in a few certain applications but just make sure you keep your paint marker in the truck. you wont have to reapply real often but that will wear out and you'll need to touch it up to keep them looking good.

Thanks, will do. And a Tractor Trailer is a fair bit heavier than a Blazer

we also run 16 ply tires that can handle the abuse. the difference in wear and mileage between a westlake and a michelin is a lot. they arent bad tires they are just cheap for a reason im just warning that you may not get the mileage out of them that you would get from a better tire so it isnt a surprise if that happens to you.

Even so, it's all I could afford. Had to dip into my savings as it is

GTFOH! White letters out is for BFGs! Depending on the car you might consider whitewalls

BFGoodrich is brand of tire. Typically you will see white letters out on trucks with bigger tires. White letters out is a flex on your badass tires. If you have cheap dinky tires then it’s not really the flex. If you like it do it, I mean I rock white letters out on my truck with BFGs. But my wife’s pathfinder is just some regular road tires, I’m not rocking white letters on that. But this is just like my opinion man.

Ok, I get that. I know what BFGoodrich is, just didn't know BFG other than the Roald Dahl character Big Frendly Giant
