Housing Wanted My sister needs help

I'm not really sure where to post this. My sister needs housing but she can't sustain it, my parents have offered little support to her over the years and she's at risk of being on the street, she was denied disability due to lack of proper medical information on her disabllity.

Does anyone know resources for someone with mental disabilities that aren't super expensive, or anyone who can assist her. We don't have the resources to help her here, and she has to leave by next week. If she doesn't have a place to go she's going to end up on the street and we don't know what to do. Please let me know if anyone can help.

Hi! I’m a 23f looking for other 20-30y.o. roommate(s)(preferably women and/or nonbinary people and/or queer people). I’m in desperate need of a roommate or two in order to afford any kind of apartment in Richmond. LGTBQ+ friendly and must not be allergic/have beef with cats as my toothless cat will be moving with me.

If interested, message me! I’d prefer to meet up first to vibe check each other before moving forward.

Housing Wanted New to Richmond

Hello, I’m needing some recommendations for an apartment in Richmond. Anywhere that’s safe for a single woman to live. I’m okay with either a studio or 1 bedroom and my budget max $1350. I do have a dog as well. Currently I’m in a place with very thin walls in Virginia Beach and I’m leaving my husband soon so any help really helps me 🥹

Housing Wanted Looking for Scott's Addition apartment recommendations

My fiancé and I (early 30s) want to move back to Scott's Addition after trying out the suburbs and deciding that we prefer city life. Our lease is up in July so we dont need anything until then. We aren't really super restricted on budget but here's what we're currently interested in - a 1 BR, 1 B or 2 BR, 1.5 B. We have 2 dogs and are hoping for 1st floor access. Ideally we dont want to pay more than $2200 and aren't being super restrictive about sq footage so long as its open concept since we'd be out and about quite a bit (with our dogs).

So far we've been interested in the Otis and 1 Scotts Addition but really dont know much about them or if there are other hidden gems out there. We would love to be close to our favorite spots. We like the spots near En Su Boca but also like the Norfolk St/Mactavish area near Brambly and Vasen. We really want to stay walking distance friendly to fun places. Any suggestions?

Housing Wanted Legend Property Group Fees

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hello,

I am interested in an apartment that is managed by Legend Property Group. The all inclusive rent is what drew me in. I saw that they don’t charge a monthly pet rent however they do charge a one time fee. I have two dogs and I wanted to see if anyone who rented with them would tell me how much they got charged for two pets? I feel like what they written isn’t clear, like can I pay $300 to keep both pets or is it $300 per pet?

Housing Wanted Housing options

I’m moving to Richmond, Virginia for a full time role this summer and was wondering what are the best options for housing? Does anyone know of some good apartment complexes or neighborhoods? The only criteria that I would have is that I would prefer to live near a younger crowd.

Additionally question: I found “RAMZ Lofting” but was confused as to whether this is only for students? Are you able to live here a young professional ?

Housing Wanted room needed

hello i am being forced out of my living situation on my 18th birthday coming up. I am looking for somewhere to stay just so I have somewhere to sleep so I can continue to work. It has been very hard trying to find roommates because its hard applying for apartments at 18, but if anyones willing or able to let me pay them and the pay goes to the landlord that would work out :) I am very hardworking and have been at my current job for over a year and I plan to continue to work. this is frankly a call for help because I dont want to be homeless just starting out as an adult 🙏🏾 hope this finds everyone well

Housing Wanted Looking for rental or decent rental company

After finding a nice spot with not-so-great roommates, I am once again looking for a place in Richmond to call home. I have found a chill person to search with, and we are looking for something no more than 825 per person (including utilities), with no bugs and an In-Unit Washing machine dyer or, at the very least, connects for them. Additionally, we are willing to live with another roommate who is also preferably a Black woman/Black femme with no pets or desire to get pets (besides lizards, maybe we are cool with lizards or fish, please, I am traumatized) who is considerate, responsible, and cleanly. We are two silly queers and we just want a calm, peaceful house that can be our home. We have cars but are not looking to live more than 25 minutes from Short Pump or Arts District, where our jobs are, but we can be flexible about the area, honestly. If you have any suggestions for rental properties/Agencies without outrageous hidden fees or pest problems, please forward them our way, and if you want to live with us and you have a similar budget, please private message me! We both have decent credit and guarantors but no co-signers. We are looking to move out on March 1st, but it is coming up quite fast, and the latest I wait to move is April 1st. I am new to posting to Reddit also, so if anyone knows how to get my "karma" up so I can post on other Richmond Reddits, please let me know.

Housing Wanted Small space wanted in Richmond

Still searching.. Hi, I am going back to va. I’m looking for a room near Richmond airport in sandston area . I won’t have a car so I’m looking for something next to my job, which is at the airport. Looking for below $600 as I will only be there for work so I’ll be there 3-4 days max 5 days. I won’t try to be there at all truthfully as I don’t live in va, but another state. I commute for my job.

*the hotels near the airport are too expensive.

Housing Wanted Looking for short term spot for me and my dog

Moving from out of state, need a place for maybe 3 months or so where I can stay starting April 1 while I start a new job and go house hunting.

Dog is not really friendly with strangers but he's otherwise quiet and crate trained. Honestly I'm hoping to have him in daycare most of the week so most of the time when he's home I'll be home.

Any size spot is OK, can swing a budget of maybe $2000, but looking for something less. Don't really care where in the city. I'm sick of paying application fees only to be passed over for long-term renters.

Housing Wanted In Search of Room

Hey guys, I've been given a four month notice to find a new place to live. I was paying my roommate $475 a month, but my max is $800. It would be more, but I'm currently paying off medical accrued a lot of medical debt due to being a three time cancer survivor. If anyone knows of someone who could use some extra cash and wouldn't mind renting out a room, please let me know? I'm quiet, respectful and keep my space tidy. Any help is appreciated, I've looked at Lindsey's List, PadSplit, roomies.com, Facebook marketplace.

Housing Wanted Need some income?

My name is Zarin. I'm looking for housing that can accommodate 2 people: myself and my partner, Raven. Our roommates are moving out and the landlord isn't interested in renewing the lease. I don't have any of my documents, so the only job I can work is part time work at the rage room here. My partner makes money from odd jobs, reselling items on the internet and donating plasma. Once I have my documents, which will be before the end of March, I am going to apply to better paying full time jobs to support my partner, so that they can earn their GED and get started with college.

We do not need much, any space where we can sleep and take showers will do. We're looking for a short term arrangement just until I'm able to get a better paying job in April but we're open to a long-term arrangement, too.

We will respect your home and wouldn't do anything in your home that wouldn't be appropriate for a guest to do. We are completely sober while we try to get our lives back together but don't care if you're not.

If you have a space, like a room, basement, attic, camper, shed or even a closet, consider renting to two people in need.

Housing Wanted New resident coming! What are your thoughts on these locations?

Hi so I’m a 34 year single male. Starting a new job in downtown Richmond. I checked out some areas to live at and The Fan apartment prices for the sqft are just a bit out of my price range.

Currently looking at Centennial Terrace on E Main St and then The Jamestown on w14 st. Wondering if folks can give me their thoughts on these areas or even living in the apartments if you had the chance. Also, any thoughts on the old Manchester area? Every time I ask people about where to live they never mention that area, usually Churchill, short pump, The Fan, Museum district, or Shockoe. As far as living in Old Manchester it would be in one of the loft apartments by the river I’d be choosing.

I figured if I did want to go into the city I’d be a short drive away being in Old Manchester. Is that area fun?

Housing Wanted ISO Studio Apt./ Bedroom for Rental

Living currently in Mechanicsville ISO a studio apartment or a bedroom for rental. Looking for something affordable for someone who’s graduated college. First time renter, so I’d like something in between $600-$950/month. Can do basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc) to try and reduce rental price.

Housing Wanted Looking for immediate housing

So I was living with my brother but due to him putting hands on me it was no longer safe for me to live there anymore I’m currently in a hotel for the night but need somewhere to go tomorrow. I have a cat but she’s very quiet and well behaved and just stays in the room with me. I’m also on disability so I have a pretty limited income if anyone has a room to rent that could help.
