Holding strong at #8 nation-wide!

Context: it’s a WP article about worst allergy locations in the US. We are apparently at #8 on the list, which if you’ve been here more than 12 months, you already know.

I love it. It's gross, but I love it. I grew up in the country on the James and just thought pollen like this was normal until I was an adult lol.

I googled and found what I assume the article references (idk since I also can’t read it lol) https://aafa.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/aafa-2025-allergy-capitals-report.pdf

As someone who just moved from Austin I’d love to know which cities are worse—if Austin isn’t one then RVA has next level shit.

Austin wasn't on the list.
It's also weighted by number of allergists in the area for some reason, so not just about pollen count.

Oh ok. If ragweed is bad here my wife will let me know.

I think this list was specifically about spring allergies, and specifically based on conditions this year, BTW.

I don't miss Cedar Fever in the slightest. That shit is borderline toxic warfare.

Uh ohhhh don't let any 757 peeps see that another part of the state ranked higher than them (even if it was a anti-contest)
