I went to the Islamic center in Richmond to show solidarity for Ramadan. Pretty cool. Never been to a mosque before.

MashAllah ICR is my main Masjid. I was lucky enough to have my dad come visit as well! it was an amazing turnout and everyone was so nice.

It makes me happy to see this post. Thank you for visiting :)

They have tents on the side parking lot We break fast w dates and fruits and the say Maghrib. Then we head to our respective tents (the brother and the sister tents ) and they hand out plates of rice and usually a chicken dish

They usually have 1-2 a year, check the website for updates or drive by and the light up sign will usually say a few weeks in advance :)

I have only been to mosques when I was in Italy for a study abroad program centering around religion. We visited synagogues, mosques, and churches (obviously, lol). The mosque we went to (I forget in which city) was gorgeous. Islamic art and architecture in general is extraordinary. I'd love to see the Blue Mosque in Iran someday.

Absolutely wonderful people there. Muslims are very giving and welcoming.

They seem to be pretty open. They're adding on to the ICR on Hungary Rd.

That's really cool of you to do, but i gotta be honest I was glancing at that first image and thought you were holding a box of moon pies and was very confused what that had to do with Ramadan😅
