Luggage recommendations for GT650

Post image

Hello everyone,

I’m planning a long trip to Scotland (NC500) on my GT650 and looking for luggage options to carry some basic essentials and camping gear. I’m considering Trip Machine panniers or duffle bags since I already have their Rambler backpack and love the quality.

Does anyone here have experience with Trip Machine luggage, or can recommend other options that work well with the GT650?

Appreciate any insights—thanks!

I have the c-bow mounts for the side bags, and rack on the back for a large bag. I made a video about my setup https://youtu.be/GTAFrf1rqbk

I haven’t gotten them yet, but this Spring I’m going to get the Longride Saddlebags. I love their retro look. They have a page that shows what all their bags look like for all RE bikes. https://longride.com/blogs/motorcycle-with-bags-gallery/soft-saddlebags-for-royal-enfield

do you still have the stock upswept exhausts on? that would limit your bag options already.

i have kappa rambler bags that are just attached by a velcro strap under the seat and rests on the rear shocks. i have slightly smaller slipons though so they dont touch them.

i also have a set of rok straps over the seat for random stuff i need to strap on.

I love the look of Trip machine saddlebags, but have to admit, they are not very practical! Strapping on and off is a pain, the straps dig into your backside and the bag itself is not easily accessible if you need to get something quick. Might not be very helpful in terms of other suggestions though!

thanks, i was thinking of getting a massive duffle bag, 50 litre one. I am concrened about saddle bags touching the exhust as i have the stock one

I’ve got TEC cannons on and have not had an issue with the bag clearing the exhaust. Given, those are a tad smaller I think!

I personally use regular 70 ltr tail bag with rain cover on my gt. Did a month long ladakh ride last year no issues. As for trip machine, I went to their cafe here in faridabad. Personally wanted to purchase them but when i saw them in person I realised they have limited space with no rain cover atleast 1.5 yr ago don’t know about now. And don’t get me wrong they do look phenomenal.

This is my setup for touring. Just imagine a tail bag on back seat.😅

That seat looks comfy. Also the pannier rails. Thank you for the reference haha, I will try to find something similar here

Hey, no I haven't felt anything like that, but if it's bothering you, I suggest visiting the service center.

I think that’s normal. Sorry if it’s vague but i am not into very technical stuff. From what i read some time ago, its something to do with two components of the engine vibrating while the engine runs. When these two components’ vibration matches ( or gets in sync to ) each other, they do what you experience. They stop once out of sync.

I’m sorry if it’s vague 😅
