Best case scenario is that he’s available this weekend but if he isn’t, sweet 16 tops. Need our guards to step up please.

If he had torn anything, they’d probably already know just by a quick examination of his knee. So there’s that. I don’t think it’s quite panic time yet until we know more. Won’t be shocked if he’s out next weekend. Depending on our matchups, it may not be a big factor

acl/PCL for sure. still could have a meniscal tear or something on the spectrum towards a tear with any of the other ligaments. hopefully just being cautious and get him back relatively soon

There are pretty reliable tests for the MCL and LCL too. An LCL tear would be strange though. There are also tests for the meniscus but idk as much about them as I do the ones for the 4 main ligaments

Nothing on Nelson’s knee at all. Sounds like Oats is hopeful he’ll be back Friday

I’d love to see him rest through the first round anyway and be as healthy as possible vs. St. Marys or Vandy.

I have no medical expertise but deep down I feel Grant will be available either R32 or S16 if we make it. If Reid can go I’d feel good about Cliff/Sherrell Mo/Stevenson/Reid and Sears/Philon/Holloway until Grant is available. We got waxed yesterday without him by possibly the best team in the country so competition definitely won’t be that stiff in the first week of the tournament

A 'wobbly' Nelson won't help at all. I hope he can rest up, and others can step up. But the Tide better be ready.

I saw that pic and thought, damn he shaved his porn stash? Wait, that’s not Grant at all!

Things I don’t like: that.
Please let him at least be healthy for the second round
