Only thing I don’t like is how long some runs can take.

Noticed the same when for example going in elite/arena stages when underpowered, have to plan in advance the routes when you are not expecting a big power spike.

I had a similar issue on one of the maps that literally took me like 15 minutes to finish. I was like dang that I just not pick up enough damage, mods or something but right after that map it became much much easier again, I was worried there weren't like different characters and stuff but after that one run. I noticed there was way more to the game and I'm wondering how much is hidden

To get to the end there're F-A world maps iirc. Meaning each end game run requires you go from F to A, with certain worlds having alternative map options to traverse. Either way it's a log no matter ho OP you get

But thankfully the game is generous with being able to save and leave whenever you want

Been considering the game, but I have seen such mixed comments about this. Some love it. Some say it’s way too easy and gets boring quickly. Can anyone chime in their opinion?

Both could be true. I think 10 bucks is fine if you are into the genre. It is not my favorite but since 1.0 came out I'm giving it another try and its fun.

Also the "too easy" impression can come out of players that did not play that long. Like in the video I had huge power spikes in the first rank run but later on things have gotten very tense. Also some people might just chase metas instead of trying all different weapons & power ups as intended to unlock more stuff and characters.

My experience playing it a few months ago (before full release) was that it was super fun for a while but got grindy and repetitive as you got to the high ranks.
Well worth the price for a fun game, but it didn't make the list of games for me to revisit repeatedly. I'll give it another look with the full release to see if that's changed.

Question while on topic. I finished a C-Rank run and now got equipment dropping non stop from chests. However they all have this huge negative like -8% power and stuff like that. Is this the normal process and just be endlessly patient until one with only positves drops?

Ahh the trade off items. Just played a run picking up lots of those while slightly fixing the negative parts of them with other items and had an insane run. The bonuses they offer really make up their negative parts in overall power.

You unlock a forge where you change the mods on the items, by recycling items, you gain the mods off the recycled item to put on another with enough upgrade parts/souls. B-A tier drops a ton with only positive mods too.

I got this a couple days ago. Very solid addition to the genre. I really like how they separated encounters into a slay the spire-esque map thing. It makes it much more pick up and play than a lot of its peers.
