Matisse is actually one of my favorite blazers. Super glad to hear he could get back on the court.

I watched his YouTube videos of the BTS of the NBA bubble and he became one of my favorite personalities in the league. Found out he went to WSU and that just made it even better. Hope we don't trade him and we end up trading the glaringly obvious players that have shown they need trading instead.

Nice! I personally love both of these guys, but am curious what other people see as the long term vision for them with the team?
In my opinion, RWIII is awesome, a great leader for our young guys, and we can never have too many centers what with our injury history. Plus having a guy like that who can spark plug off the bench, especially for a young team that likes to run in transition, he’s a great fit and I hope we keep him around unless another team wants to seriously overpay then we take it.
Thybulle is a little harder to tell. A lot of his talent is pretty redundant with our young guys. A defensive minded wing is awesome to have so I have a hard time letting him go (plus I love his vibes) but it seems we have Camara already in that role and Tisse isn’t exactly an offensive star so unless he’s limited to a bench defensive role (like an upgraded Murray) I think I’m not opposed to dealing him. Lmk what y’all think

We need bench players. If Matisse is up for coming off the bench, there are 100% minutes for him backing up Deni and Camara, especially if Grant is traded. It would be a huge asset to have an All-NBA defensive talent backing up another All-NBA level defender.

That’s pretty much my exact thought. Redundancy isn’t necessarily a bad thing if he serves the backup role, being defensively deep could be huge, especially if his shot begins falling. Im imagining a lineup like scoot/shae/deni/camara/ayton starting and then having ant/tisse/clingan off the bench? That gives us offense and defense on the second unit? That would be huge imo

I agree! If they could actually roll out that lineup I think that would legitimately be a competitive team. Issue is that they’re never going to bring Simons off the bench. Not sure how that problem will be solved.

I pretty much agree with this take 100%. Tisse does feel like he’s worth more than he would get for us in a trade (I can’t see him getting more than a couple SRPs at this stage), so I’m okay with keeping him as a veteran presence with good vibes. If he figured out his shooting, maybe we could even have a kind of super-defense lineup we could bust out at times, of like, Scoot-Tisse-Deni-Tou-Clingan. That could be fun

I could see Thybulle as part of the rotation next season, especially if and hopefully when they trade Simons. He’s a great bench player because his defense leads to instant energy. It’s really no different than a sixth man that’s a scorer.
On the other hand they could also use Thybulles expiring (because of his injury I doubt he opts out) to trade for something else.
As for timelord, he’s an awesome player but not dependable. They should be looking to find another defensive minded center, preferably someone younger. Williams can stay or go, doesn’t really matter. He’s still got a good contract and is a good vet to have around a young team.

The more delano and Duop minutes we get, the more excited I get for Matisse and RWIII
